so first off empty the stove it's all cleaned up I'm going to use the gift Stan gave me easy to pack and obviously I'm going to leave it here I changed all the ropes all around and put paracord I mean these ropes are fine but I rather paracord that way can you know make some slip knots or rustic not whatever it is they call it just to adjust it just because being that's it's a canvas tent and there's snow and ice well it needs to be adjusted once in a while and I want all of them to be adjustable also it's all it's also important to loosen it up maybe a little bit if you know there's a big snowfall that's gonna come you know just to avoid more stress on the on the tent obviously you can put you know those ten things I can't remember the plastic thing that you pull or you can make them out of wood in the series I'll probably I'll make one out of wood to show you how it's done and we'll use it for one row but for now we're just going to use some paracord wonder and just create a loop like this and just pass it two or three times let's go with three so you see the three right there and the last one make sure you grab the two okay instead of going in you go over the two and just tighten it up this way it's a quick a quick release let me try and UNMISS this but at the same time oops you know the way I can tighten it like I want and it won't untighten see that and tighten even more so that's tight excellent job with which he has just shake it all the time sorry about that have to modify in another series oh I'll build a workhorse so it's easier okay so few more a few more mods I've put a I can't the camera don't worry the stove is not look good I put a reflective blanket under the stove put some wood on top so it doesn't touch there's at least you know three inches in between just to keep you know the snow from melting too quick there and I bought a crate nine bucks getting tired that's going to be our table it's again pretty messy but just gonna take a little breather got a lot of work to do today yeah plenty of wood plus I have some under my bed caught if anybody was wondering I don't know if it was astronaut but where we got these bed cots I got them maybe four or five years ago on eBay I mean they're about 20 inches long by a wide by I say seven feet maybe I mean it's not the best out there but I paid like thirty bucks each just check it on eBay the guy sells hundreds if that's something that interests you and it comes with a little pouch there after I saw the would drop it now so he didn't up that I am the only one working in this bush craft pardon channel you know what next time I'm gonna bring a violin and they and play a little tune for you that's right
oh sorry about that believe it leave it flat leave it no whoa listen twist twist this boss hold in choice what's a split there you go one more time see I don't do this often so oh this one it's not yeah yeah no it's still heavy hold on oh boy oh boy okay thanks for the tip mr. okay you guys been watching my videos you know what's in here right well mail I know what's in it Oh seems to be something all something else too yes thank you for this lone woodsman it's a sticker you know I've got my my canoe my food barrel and I always when I can I put stickers you know from the areas I've been and from people that send me stickers so this is from Brian this is gonna go on the barrel okay
it's okay with you I will read the letter Brian unless I see something hi Mike well I finally got this sent out it's been done for quite some time sorry for delay my job keeps me very busy Brian's very busy now I know this isn't exactly what you wanted but I hope you can find a use for it I don't think you'll ever have to rework Syd as I code it pretty heavy but I included some fixing wax I made I hope this finds you will take care of my friend Brian so the goodies that are in there are gonna go in this are you kidding me Brian seriously Brian told me that he wasn't good with what with leather ah seriously
we're gonna act you guys see that bushcraft barton's oh man okay cool that's the wax okay that's awesome couch come on Brian seriously this is super well-made super nice look at that well you know Brian sent this to me without wanting anything in return and that's pretty cool but I just want to do one little thing for you Brian first of all thank you I'm gonna transfer my stuff in here this is will ever stay with me and that little bushcraft Barnes you add it it makes it even more special not that I'm special but I know it's mine
but you guys watching I will put the link to his channel lone woodsman Brian loves tarp setup C camps under tarps and different configurations he's got a very cool channel I'm gonna put the link in the description of this video please go check him out say hello and subscribe you won't regret it right on okay so let's transfer some stuff in here all right so this is what I have in my pouch of goodies now I know that my measurements weren't correct so I won't be able to put everything in but we'll put the main things awesome and the cool thing about wood is that it can be adjusted I just need to solve this off yeah I'm gonna I'm going to take a minute saw this piece off I don't need to eat it anyway and I'm gonna solve this piece off too so that everything goes in look how cool that is that's just awesome it's so nice it's so nice okay Brian you the man where's my thumb there it is thank you sir by the way you guys probably saw me come back to the backhoe laplander it's a good saw the only problem with it the saw is that it's really too flimsy and I busted I busted the come on you I busted the blade
[Laughter]
so why you gotta love wood right you can adjust it I'm just getting the sharp ends off my little butter knife I'm gonna take too much off the butter knife there these are still very usable come on you this leather little stretch there okay let's make a nice let's make a nice nice scene for you guys you know we like to do that on camera don't we like this little cook good the knife Hey usually it obeys okay why not put the saw - there you go see how long I can take to make a nice little scene there take a couple minutes to talk about this awesome
anorak and I really mean it personally I found the gold mine with this now I left the my utility belt on just to show you that it's not in the way you've got the pouch kangaroo power to the bottom and a chest pouch which is just awesome
this is made by a tube tents obviously the same guy from the last content this is made by his wife men she and men she if you're watching this is absolutely the best thing I've seen in a long time now an anorak has to do three things for me one it has to block the wind obviously that is very important and it does second it has to be made strong as you can see we walk in the woods branches poking and everything I mean it's made strong it's seven ounce cotton this one and thirdly it has to be lightweight which it is now as you can see this one here has all the bells and whistles it's it's let's call it a deluxe you don't need to have this I mean you can just have a pouch and he's got a string here where you can just cinch it down but it's good at all and I don't mind it because I like everything that's on it even has some Bell Clips here you know to stop the what he called the zipper from going up you can cinch it down let me take this off now you've seen it's on the way this thing is totally awesome let me tell you okay so adjustable cuffs alright you can cinch this like I said before cinch it down here it's got yeah little tags here where you can hang stuff if you don't have a belt there's two of them it's very solidly made very well so you see double there I don't know if you can see that double stitch okay try not to fall here and look like a fool as I said two pockets on the bottom here okay it joins like this and it's not in the way of the utility utility belt and I use this so far for tinder it's the perfect place to put stuff this chest thing here it's so awesome anything clothes you need buy it's right there I don't like the ones that have the kangaroo pouch right in the middle to me is totally useless because I put my utility belt and things can come out but then she put the pouch lower so it can still be used and there's pockets that are velcro that where he can't lose anything and a little higher she has a chest pouch it's just perfectly positioned alright let's talk about another feature that is just right super perfect I will tell you one reason this is the first time you see me wear an anorak I despise all interacts I'll be honest for one reason it's putting it in or putting it on and taking it off it's a battle each time but then she put you've got two zippers that go right up to here on both sides now how awesome is that
this thing is easy to put on and put off easier than a t-shirt and at the bottom here you have some velcro as you're traveling you put it on top of the zipper where you don't want this to open up now as I'm working around camp I lift up this one just on one side so I can bend the knee no problem if I'm working it's not in the way at all so that is a big bonus super bonus let's talk about the hood I mean everything normally I do I always find something but this thing is just great the hood is perfectly made okay I'll tell you why now let's say I have my hat I have my little green hoodie here from the wool now it's got detachable fur on it this is faux fur but if you want real he can do it okay guys zipper here but let me put this on okay look at this wait a minute now god forbid you will not be caught in a storm you do everything you can to you know stay away from storms but you never know right now this hood is perfect size okay usually when you see on NanoRacks is big hoods and actually that is not good at all if you get caught in a storm and there's a lot of wind and you got all these loose pockets everywhere the wind will go in and down your back and it's not going to be comfortable this one is really tight I can close it here I can even cinch it down yes my my site is only this big but that's what you need to have I can cinch this down now I have no cold air coming in and the fur is
very important because it stops the snow from going in as well so this is just an awesome feature and it's the perfect size it's just great what can I say some even better news now why white well it just looks good because it's a winter time I know when it gets dirty it shows but I don't mind that but ghee is working on something else well it's been 2 years I think concerning excuse me concerning the material he's making some now out of ripstop ok now it's not any ripstop it's actually the same material that the US military used for their clothing their pants it's wind proof it's a lot more lightweight you can get it in colors he's got dark blue right now a forest green coyote brown kind of a thing and he's working very hard to get a woodland camo and all that stuff you can check it on the website and is it tough it's really tough ghee has Malamutes he's got six of them so that's how he's been testing concerning the wind you know on this when he goes sledding with the dogs and if you know about Malamutes or they're very big dogs you know compared to Huskies but anyway even Huskies if you have experience with them when you get close to them you know a lot of times they'll jump on you with their claws that's that's what they do so if you'd have any normal material of a jacket they'd rip it to shreds now with this rip stop he's got two years and it's in perfect condition so it's a lot more lightweight and you can get it in all kinds of colors now last thing I want to show you is the best part
that I like anyway zipper and of course you can unzip it to get to your add your stuff take the velcro off [Applause]
our velcro did here that's why ya so easy to take off and to put back on I am really impressed with this really impressed show you again the stitching and this can be taken off with the velcro yeah I won't take it off but it's just the thinking that went into this to make it as perfect as I see it is just incredible I said again men'she you're very smart and very good I just love it and these things will last like a long time so if you're looking for your next anorak don't look anywhere else okay so here's the thing thing is is that I haven't had a decent skillet or frying pan in a long time now of course I love my cast-iron one the small one that you sees my videos that's fine but I wanted something a little bigger with wall so when I want to cook other stuff you know more stuff and I'm a fan of nonstick but most of the things that exist well that I've tried the nonstick comes off and so I really took my time and this is a GSI not too sure what they call it anyway let's call the GSI a stainless steel it's not as heavy as a full stainless steel but it's not lightweight now if I'm not mistaken the core of it here inside is aluminum or aluminium whichever way you like it and the outside is stainless steel so it makes us less heavy and the heat transfer is a little quicker now there is Teflon but just on the bottom here the pan not on the walls the thing I really don't like about stainless steel is when you fry stuff it always tends to stick now I know it's gonna stuff is gonna stick on the sides but that's okay unless you really seasoned it well it's gonna stick but I wanted to test this Teflon because it's new to me and see if it's gonna work give you a little closer look see the inside a good strong handle the tolds you know out-of-the-way minute it's an eight inch pan about two inches the walls but I'm going to test this for quite a few weeks see if I like it or not before I recommend it now I paid I think it was it was 30 US bucks for it so you know for a pan I'm hoping that it's gonna do the trick if I don't burn my hands of course so what I shall do this is old pouch room I have all my spices and olive oil and stuff and I'm using the slit as a table which is good I'm going to oil it pretty good hoping the wind changes directions and I'm gonna try and season it a bit there's no way I was gonna do this you know a new pan come on has to be baptized on the real fire folks not on the stove and the first thing you cook if you want to be a real bushcrafter in a new pan is bacon yep that's a sign of a real bush Raptor right there now I know that the bacon has its own grease I know that but still they can can stick so you're going to do our best to season it a bit so I'm just building make sure I got some good coals there I won't need much fire to cook bacon plenty of that wait for this to go down a bit and we will cook some baked on see it slowly seasoning not sure if I'll be able to do the whole thing properly but anyway it's better than nothing okay so it's not perfect it would be missing some are you missing something there but this is I know it looks disgusting but it's actually nice and soft really soft missing some of the corner maybe there maybe the bacon I'll take care of that part what do you guys think yeah that pan looks like it's been used a lot of times before the I don't need all that heat
ah why not same time a little show me I'll click the heat transfers there's some bakong you just called it back on that's not how you call bacon it's back on just invented a new a new back on so hopefully you'll finish seasoning this and this will be a little afternoon snack for me and Josie cuz we didn't have lunch we have a good supper though now I won't show you how to cook whatever she's doing because that will be on her channel by the way for the new comers Josie has a Cooking Channel and it's the link is always under all my videos and products that I recommend you see me use are all under there - and when you do purchase something it gives me a little percentage off of Amazon it's not much but it helps to support the channel now this one here is not in it yet I need to work with it for at least a couple of weeks it won't take me long to know if I like this or not okay my beautiful new pouch am i proud of it Brian yes sir I am okay what are we going to use for this Oh spatula yeah this this is this another little stretch a bit so I think I got enough coals to cook me some bacon [Music]
lovely look at that not even scraping anything except for smoke in my eyes okay one last look now to some this may be a little too crisp we all have preferences but this is how I like it so that's going to be a little snack
told you this in the beginning of the video there's a stand that it took tense you know you can provide so your pole isn't sink in the snow but metal on metal obviously slips right so what I didn't show is that there's a hole in the middle of the plate and this here I'll do it I'll just put a bolt in and make sure that when I put the post it won't move but for now I just put a piece of you know a strong piece of branch so that's not going in there use them not so we can hang some heavy stuff on it but might as well use it
here's a strong branch mister hang a few things knick knacks I'll put a bigger one here but see if I can put a bigger one here
I know Josie's gonna like that it's too big I'll be you know just hanging small light stuff so exactly this time of course we're coming close to the end of the year 2018 and we just wanna let all you guys know that we truly are very thankful and grateful for all of you and your support I know we say it all the time but we really mean it you know for liking the video sharing watching especially the encouraging emails are the gifts that I get certainly don't deserve that
those that still even provide financially you guys know who you are thank you
we appreciate all of you and we want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year while we're at it because I'll probably forget but a very safe and prosperous hopefully the year 2019 will be the very best that you ever see in your life thank you for everything you do for us and hopefully in 2019 it'll be a better year for all of us thank you so much as we think about Christmas and you know this was coming - we can't let Jesus Christ out of it mm-hmm now I do understand that there's some people that believe it's a you know a tradition that's it's pagan it's Jesus wasn't born on the 25th that's all true but let's put all that aside it's a great opportunity as Christians to praise Jesus and you know we don't need opportunities we should be doing it every day but it's a great time that we can be a light to this world especially with your families and friends I'm talking to the Christians you know be a light don't hide be who you're supposed to be in the Lord well
Lord's watching us and it's the least we can do after everything he's done for us and for those of you out there that don't know him as your personal Savior all I can say is that he loves you so much like no one can ever love you and he proved that by sending his son to die on the cross just to illustrate just a little bit of what that means let's pretend there's this father and he works on controlling bridges you know for the boats to pass and it's a bridge for the railroad to train and what he does when a boat comes he'll it he has to lift up this bridge passes so they're safe and puts it back down so we'll say he decides to come with his son one day his son is off from school you know just to show him what the job is and the enjoyers themselves all day and a boat passes and you know the bridge comes up and the little boy is all amazed but while the father is checking the boat and making sure everyone is safe he turns around the bridge is still up he turns around and he can't find his son where is he so there's a train coming and that bridge needs to go down so he doesn't quite know what to do where's the son and all that so he takes his binoculars and he starts looking and his son is right under the bridge right where it closes so he's got a choice to make
there's hundreds of people coming in about a minute he doesn't have time to go warn his son so the choice he makes he puts the bridge down and by doing that he sacrifices his son so that those on the bridge may live now the thing about this is that these are complete strangers and they have no idea that this father just sacrificed his son for them today it's the same thing people just mock Jesus they don't want to hear about him he just pretend he doesn't exist but that's what he did for you mm-hmm but in a greater scale it's any turn eternal life that he wants to offer you freely so some of you need to get off that train and the only way you can do that is through Jesus by repenting of your sins turning to him asking forgiveness and ask him to save you and if you believe what you ask based again on what he did know what you can do he'll save you and transform you right there and yes I'm talking to you right now you're looking through that screen who's still doubting God is very real very real get saved now what's stopping you I know only yourself you can be influenced by all the religions in the world by your parents by what co-workers by your own opinions but at the last the last thing the power you have is a power of choice so we have no excuse but do it it's the greatest gift you'll never ever and I mean it receive and as eternal and it's forever and it's free do it now oh yeah we had any quite a few just leave it leave it in the trail [Applause]
