all right so I have to get out of the wind because there's no way in the world you would have heard me this is a unexpected blessing Lord provided this trip for us very grateful this is not a camping trip it's more of a fishing trip we're not camping we have fully equipped cabin tons of Lake to explore but of course we're only here four nights five days so hopefully we'll be catching some fish and well happier there I hope you're going to stay and watch us catch fishies fishies if we can catch the fishies it would be good so the lake that you see in front of me part of it anyway it's called if I translate it the crooked lake so it's got its crooked and it's pretty big it doesn't look big here but it's pretty big and tonight they're announcing a lot of wind so it's not going to be fun to fish on it but we have several other lakes that we can check out there's one particular one it's not too big I try and catch ourselves some decent small trout there I can I don't know we'll see how big they are
but for we're going to try this in the morning in this lake there's great trout big monsters in here so it may be a little bit more difficult but we'll see okay just to show you a little bit of territory right now or right here okay this is the crooked lake but we've got like
you know lots and lots and lots of Lake in this small territory but we won't be able we may be able to do five lakes you know altars I want to spend a lot of time here instead of catching you know just speckled trout lake lake speckled trout I like to concentrate on some great if possible so in the mornings I think this will be my best bet and we'll do smaller lakes you know starting in the afternoon so we'll be fishing for days so that's pretty much all you'll be seeing on this if you like fishing [Music]
excited to go fishing but we had quite a big day before getting up here so we're kind of tired right now but we're still going to go up to that Lake it's not a very big Lake see if there's any trout in it
it's a typical speckled trout we have big link back and another lake in the front that's pretty cool this is it you can call it a very small lake or a big pond look man the road coming up here if you don't have a 4x4 forget it we're right on top of a mountain and this is an area whether it's bear country
there's lots of bears but we'll see we'll see hopefully there's fishies in there well this motor or this won't be any motor for this one so yes guess it'll be exercise time so did you figure out which one is the best are they all not good oh my gosh are huge well let's just hope it's a good fishing home okay so we're on the lake now right behind me
it's about 1215 feet deep so should be good there and the lake goes actually quieter why waves over there but I don't feel like paddling with this thing everything is loose on it and but let me just give you a little now you don't see it but right there continues glide ways and the wind is going this way and I don't feel like coming having a we call it a headwind with this thing loose so well how bad say about 8 inches at least they're nice and fat and heavy so for a lake this size it's pretty cool let's keep on fishing Josie dropped a nice swing
okay we're disposed of this quick cut a branch sure no it's a fish take your time - good time okay show the folks before we put it back a nice looking six seven inches well done let's put her back so the wind keeps pushing us so we decided to just anchor down here see what happens if nothing will roll somewhere else alright so we decided to keep - for tonight we'll save them for lunch tomorrow they're about you know eight well you know how fishermen exaggerate a little bit let's say one's eight inches at least this one that one's nine and this time I won yep I got the biggest one usually Josie always wins so once in a while it's me alright [Music]
I've been seen any any bears yet or any moves hopefully we will maybe and be able to film it a bit so right now we're going to try out another lake another sound just the birdies and it's so beautiful
and I know there's a lot of people that would be wondering why are you saying it's so beautiful if there's dead trees debris all over the place well it's beautiful to me cuz it's wild it's in this you know of course there's some wood that's been cut but if you look deep it's in its natural habitat like over there I just love it when it's so wild and these roads just just like kilometres miles and miles and miles of these roads so yeah wilderness wild love it
all right so to get to the lake we have a nice okay a nice little hike which climbs down and up and I know I've told this I've told you guys this before but this area here with all these I you know it's full of it's full of yellow birch and the chugga is just all over the place but what a nice walk it is so far before we get to the lake and once we are there
well how beautiful that is that's of that beautiful trail at night about they said a 20 minute walk so somebody's very excited to go fishing she doesn't usually walk that fast well there's a nice pearl okay gotta keep my eyes on the trail oh I see a nice chunk of chaga over there hey maybe we could get that one see it well starting to rain anyway sorry if I'm boring you guys with this but look how beautiful that is even that broken tree over there yeah that big piece there yeah I know and yeah we'll take it on our way back you just turn this round of it I can see so sorry about the poor camera guy but anyway that big lake absolutely nothing not one bite those big Grey's are frustrating at times but hey that's what it is that's what it's all about but another thing is that the lakes here oh gosh
they only sunk about a week ago so I mean the water is still too cold the peak season of fishing will be here anyway not before maybe two weeks at least these two weeks so all right well anyway once we get to the lake well we'll check it out together but this this is a beautiful hike beautiful hike I wish I would carry this open all along the height but I know it's kind of boring for you guys oh I'm still seeing Chuck over there too yeah but it's a little too high yeah we're actually on the side of a mountain is right there is the other side of the mountain valley here's a wait a minute yeah turn this because I can't see them doing all right cool
nice looking burl on that tree but hey what does that look like look like all kinds of stuff maybe a chicken that's bowing to the Creator why not hey okay doing it it's down there this is like of course we're in a you know valley it's like a secret little lake yeah getting closer so there it is folks not too too big but wild yeah hopefully the fishies will bite there you go okay time to do some fishing give that okay this one's a keeper mm-hmm I'm gonna go under the boat oh it's a nice one nice QT at least seven inches joseline are you a happy little fisher woman oh yeah it's not a big deal eek so can't expect any bigger but they make good meals it was raining a while ago but it stopped now it's nice and calm beautiful area just to be on the lake is just great blessing
the fish is extra so finally we we're on this Lake it's not too big but we found an area where it's deep enough an area where it's deep enough and quite a few trout's not big but they'll do the trick so I think Josie's got another one nice so far it's the biggest you leave it on the bottom just a second before we dispose of it oh that's a nice one but that's nine inches at least good job you happy it's miserable it's cold it's wet the wind is jamming is down here but let me tell you we keep on fishing until my fingers fall off right Josie yeah all right so we gonna record we're allowed ten a day per permit but we're only allowed to when it's over our trip to come out with ten so that means we keep the nicest ones and we eat the rest so there's a thumbs up we got between six and ten inches in there so it's a great morning but now we are cold and wet and time to get warmed up right yeah I'm the one doing that yeah okay thus far
come on come on don't be shy no okay just lost the son well we're done fishing for speckled trout anyway for today wait I have a moment here
you've been cold all morning I got some big clothes coming again so anyway this afternoon if the weather is not so bad we're going to try and catch some great trout go on the big lake again but that's it for speckled trout today now when you go on a fishing trip you guys that do it you'll understand it's really exhausting really exhausting you're fishing all day long you come in you warm up you eat you go back like here you do some hikes and all that and I'm not complaining but that's what it is you gotta really love to fish but when you're persevere it's rewarding it's really rewarding the first two days we're not very fruitful and we've done a lot of fishing of course I don't open the camera every time because hey just the fishing is hard enough getting to the lakes tomorrow we're going to be doing a newer Lake Lake I have never done it's called the red cap lake I have no idea there's a little hike to it so hopefully the weather so we've got some rain clouds pass in there lower ones maybe I'll be fine so tomorrow should be pretty cool I'm not too sure what I'm going to do this video I hope this is going to be a second part or a first part right now I'm just relaxing not too much action in this scene right I was hoping for more summer I guess hopefully this afternoon so we're gonna have our selves a hearty being with got plenty of trout's to eat as I have said before and previous see in case you don't know the laws here in Quebec
well this reserve anyway you're allowed temper permits so we're allowed to take out 20 in possession when we leave here but we're still allowed 10 the day each as long as we eat them of course we don't catch 20 a day first day was maybe 3 or 4 second day was maybe the same thing so we ate them now we got 20 but we still got two fishing days so we're gonna have a big snack ready trout do any trout tonight and keep the bigger ones to bring home as long as I have 20 pair of size-12 put in the freezer I'm a happy camper so I'll be seeing you in the water
ok so we have first course here we have potatoes sausage some fish rice beautiful tomatoes and other stuff so and Sun coming out cool Bon Appetit [Music]
you
