I decided to cut right below a tree branch it's about five inches in diameter

I don't down purpose because it's like a knot it's more difficult take that off a fire because need to talk a little bit and I know that's gonna be ready in no time okay so welcome to another video ah

obviously I didn't need another axe but I've been eyeballing this one for a little while now and I have to tell you that it intrigued me Forrest refine acts by Wetterling so I saved up and I decided to go for it now obviously I haven't used it enough to really tell you a lot about it but I can still give you my first impressions now my favorite axes so far are the small forest acts by GB and the Scandinavian forest acts by GB which is a little bit bigger than the small forest back

this one here comes just about in the middle of the - the idea this axe is to have the almost perfect all-around camp ax - new axe I can do a little bit of everything fell trees limb split I haven't had a time that I didn't take time to split with it but I'm sure it's going to split well it's thicker than the small Forest Act so you know the wedge is wider so I know it's going to split well but that's the main purpose of this axe is to have one axe that will do pretty much all the chores well not perfectly but well so that being said it is you know first impressions now it's in between the two axes I mentioned small forest axe Scandinavian axe actually the head is lighter than the small forest axe I think the small forest axe is 2 pounds this is 1.4 pounds but the handle is 4 inches longer which makes it 24 inches instead of 20 inch from the small forest forest act so when it comes to chopping it gives you more of a chopping power because it's longer even though it's not as heavy I think it exceeds the forest axe not by much but it does and the cutting edge is a little bit higher the angle is is not as steep so this will take a lot of wood off that's for sure

this soil here I'm not sure if it's the right word but I'll call it a toil is excellent for your little you know carving tasks I grabbed it a little bit everywhere to see where it would go well and it does function pretty good it protects your hand at the same time being that it's a little longer than the small forest axe it's also safer now I was a little bit worried about the handle the handle is a little thinner than the small forest axe I was afraid that it would you know hurt in the hands but to be honest with you it doesn't it's got a fairly good grip I'm going to get that camera a little closer to show you I have one little issue here which is a Knick roll a piece that just came off I didn't you know I didn't oh I'm always careful hitting rocks but sometimes on stumps older stumps or could be rocks oh I probably did a rock just by looking at it I can fix that yeah

we give you a closer look there real quick

it's got a nice I think it's 24 degree so it's pretty thin it takes wood chunks of wood off very easily it's thicker hold on a second it's thicker this way then this small forest axle for sure it's going to split wood easy here's the Nick there right there it rolled that there was probably a little tiny rock on that stump now I try to do a little bit of everything of course I you know you can't really do everything but I like this axe I like the shape of it there's actually nothing really wrong with it it protects your hand too beautiful Hickory got a nice grain in it nice and straight wetterling's

it does come with a decent leather sheet yeah okay time to stoke up that fire so I'm going to be in need of some coffee pretty soon

you give it a little bit of oxygen here okay so ah now my only problem now please don't get this video wrong I'm not pushing you to buy this ax at all there are axes that will do a very good job that are under the price range of this one and that's what I don't like about this ax is the price I have no idea why why it's so expensive I looked in Canada and even in the States and most you know shops and stuff is you know this X is out of stock so must be a popular acts and they're only some of them told me that it they would have it in stock in February I think but the price Wow the cheapest I found this is actually in the UK believe it or not bushcraft store

140 142 and US dollars plus $15 shipping fast shipping though 34 days it was deer in Canada so that's a cool store but exchange that in Canadian money and wow you're over $200 for an axe I looked at was a knife center or knife anyway they sold it for 169 he lives this is expensive night accent so I'm not really sure why maybe it's a specialty acts or I don't know but if I did have a choice with one X and the ax as I mentioned small forest ax Scandinavian and this one for an ol around pack ax I think this one would be my choice even if it's just first impressions I know it's gonna do well it does everything well and even though it's got a longer handle the head is lightweight less than the small forest axe it's not as fatiguing for the hand the car as the small forest axe but yet it's longer to give it power talk I think it was well thought of his axe think I'll give it a big 8 out of 10 because of the price range it's just too bad I don't know why they don't you know you can get the Scandinavian forest axe for about 140 canadian shift and some money a little bigger acts 26 inches bigger head i don't put apart from the price great axe okay so this thing must be getting ready I'm kind of ready for coffee well hope you enjoyed this little video oh it's just so nice out here today this axe is super well thought of goes super well and all aspects of axe that size should do but the only problem is the price that's it I mean if you're willing to pay willing to save for it you won't regret it the money is going to be well spent but you don't have to buy this type of axe okay there's other axes that are cheaper that'll do pretty much the same job so

we're going to drink this and I cut a little bit of wood there that I may even have a little snooze it's always nice and warm and cozy around the fire I can't ask for better right now okay let's see if this is oh yeah all the time every time burn my tongue there you go wait okay so I guess this video is going to be long enough thank you for your support guys you know that

you guys are great I mean I can't ask for better awesome comments liking the video sharing and even with the website Amazon store I mean I wanted to say a big thank you and you know I really mean it
