I don't think nothing beats cast-iron tang
[Music]
it looks like it don't worry this is not a seat just making just a quick little table not too high just to put some stuff on so I don't have to go with my bag 50 times or hanging my everything will be at the same place alright so I'm gonna give you a little look at this 2/10 I got now why did I get a new tent this is a two-man tent but for one man obviously and the one I had before the only problem with it I mean it was a little heavier than that but it's just not high enough and I'm tired of you know lying down and trying to change so I just wanted to get something that was lighter but with more room height so I can sit down and you'll actually be able to change easily and even get into my bags more easily so this is a nature hike clout to all the specs will be in the links provided I don't know them all by heart but as you can see it's very small weighs about I know maybe 4 pounds it's about maybe 18 inches long by 5 to 6 inches in diameter so let's take a look at this that's exactly what you get when you get this tent if ever you get it get the footprint over there you'd have the poles get the stakes you have the fly and you have the main compartment of the tent and you know just by the feel of it it's very lightweight and quality ok so here's some more extra as you can see the stakes have three sides so that's not going anywhere it's not turning you got extra guidelines and I believe this is fluorescent maybe but it comes in a nice package ok so as you can see just to make things easier for me because I want to set this alone I staked the we got the footprint first so when it comes to putting the poles and everything I didn't take it right to the ground I lift it out so I can keep working on it I just wanted to show you these the input little strings these are very very lightweight little strings to be able to pull them back out so I find that pretty neat meaning that's the first time actually sip this up have to be patient oh and this is classified as a four season tent so just add this to the steak add it to the steak that dick it'll be easier for me to put the poles in if you're alone you even have you know instructions no in the bag and inside of the bag if you don't know how to install it all right so there's one pole that becomes one bowl then go into place this
so this looks like it might be the back and the front will be over there and you just rock there so that wasn't too bad pretty quick okay so there it is without the fly very simple
I like the distance between the tent and the pole so it'll be some good airflow and I don't think the fly will be touching anywhere on the tent which is good I've got a big door here screen I mean so simple this makes me think of my Marmot it's the same way if ever you own one you'll know I mean the fly this comes and snaps in and then you just adjust the fly it's very easy very easy so now time to put the fly okay am I going to get it the first time am I am I am I am I gonna get it the first time of course I'm gonna get the first time come on it's all that about that's not a question so just snap one side in and just do your adjustment okay so this is the easy clip clip it let me just do your adjustments like you need and these are fluorescent so come with your flashlight you won't trip on ya little hook here that you hook on the main tent which pulls it wide you know for more place so when you pull the whole thing it just comes just stake it down this can't come down I like their lock locking mechanism and I putting it high because it's a hot day today and I want some good air all right so it's all set up they used to have a ventilation here they took that off you got one more this is all you know fluorescent one more time here should be sure to put properly with anyway so he got three stakes the back one over here we need to readjust this one but it'll be just fine for now one there yeah you got a fair-sized vegetable of course you got tiles here again fluorescent and that's your inside pretty roomy now always if you're a bit beginning in these tins when they say to man is one all the time three is two because this vegetable here is not big enough to put your gear but if you sleep one in here you left plenty of room also here's there's plenty of space you know to put your little junk like boots dirty boots that you want to bring in and stuff so let's take a look at the inside of it - this thing I'll show you
of course it's wider here wider here so logically our heads would be here but I'll give you an example i'm 5-8 I think 180 pounds great you know what me and Josie we're supposed to sleep in this tent tonight we'll try it but remember the rule to men tent is one man okay there's one hook here for a light it's cool yeah
yeah you need to be 1:1 is perfect your head here perfect we'll try to but I doubt it's gonna work so anyway enough of tents I wish they would have put maybe in the screen another little door made of this you know for wintertime anyway I can open it up in the summer but apart from that I mean it's it's lightweight that's for sure it's well-made it's in the good pricing now time will tell because I wanted one man tent it's not too much too heavy to carry and four pounds is uh pretty good so reality I'd be sleeping this way have your stuff there yeah I'm not sure that the dimensions really okay it looks like it's at least three feet high I know one two three maybe four foot wide maybe six feet long okay but again if you want to know the real thing I take a look in the description or the link okay
well there's your inside yeah I know I gotta tighten that corner there I'm just doing it quick for this review but I want to take too long so you got that hook there you know if you can see that right there in the middle somewhere it's there believe me so yeah so it looks like little lip here keep them things splashing inside so I have to say that I can't wait to try it out after a long time a long term yeah a long term we'll see how she goes all right so they do have some pretty cool mats here it's about 2 inch maybe 3 inches thick you know how this works or you blow it just go and blows itself and it's really well made it doesn't come off at all and you can actually use this as a dry bag after which is pretty cool yeah actually that's about maybe two feet about you could fit too easily in there yeah so you could sleep two people we're gonna try it tonight we'll see you know worse the worst if it be raining or something like that and I'd have no other tarp to lie down please forgive the plane I don't care anymore there's a matter what you do planes will pass over your head and not stop filming now any more for that so
as I was saying if it be raining you know on the tarp I have no tarp and have no choice you could do it easily no problems yeah but of course for one man I think it's gonna be cool oh you have more tiles here for I can see for wind it gets windy so that's it for this
[Laughter]

garlic I love garlic I love garlic save some for another male [Music]
this is just like Montreal fake fight but Joe beef yeah well I have to save this fire box and this pan is the bomb just love it I don't think nothing beats cast-iron tanks the heat is even doesn't stick almost done
so I just cooked myself two hot dogs hey that's a piece of garlic man they say two hot dogs oh my gosh I must be getting hungry and don't worry I'm not being not nice to my wife get over there because she's cooking her own and by the way she's gonna have our own video so you can check that out I'll be left a little different from mine okay so pretty simple when I'm out here of course the best thing I love between mayo mustard and ketchup is ketchup so Joe beef in the beef lots of garlic and onions and let's put some ketchup oh it's gonna be good at least two yeah two per hamburger you know what I'm not gonna be done cos oh look at a lovely plate that's pretty rare my goodness it's nice to have blades when we're filming I just love it you're welcome playing come anytime yeah yeah just a little closer make more noise he's listening to me for real okay oh gosh this is gonna be good now last thing I'm going to put is pe4 pepper I love pepper
now whoops I know we love a lot of spices and then we take a lot of spices out here but if I would have you know no choice and I'd be stuck with salt and pepper
I would be awesomely okay with that I love both so there you go one and two I'm seriously thinking that he's looking for me that guy be a little messy here no come to think of it salt pepper garlic and onions I could live with that I mean with other food but you know the main ingredients
just a normal beautiful piece of goodness
yeah I agree the entire dish on products okay
some of you asked about these chairs so I want to do it quick these camp chairs let's go through this quickly now these are not expensive camp chairs you know some of them go up that I like I know 150 I got this at sales I paid 60 bucks
this one here sale is an outdoor Canadian store you can check it out sale dot CA I'm not sure if they ship or not but you can check that out and the one I have now I'm sitting on is a no-name brand actually and I got that at gearbest
same price so there's pros and cons in both because you've seen both you seen this one on my canoe trip and that one on my last trip we'll take a look real quick now these things are a lifesaver for me anyway man when you want to rest your back and legs these things are very I mean you can put this in your backpack or outside the backpack whatever they're pretty lightweight so this is the sails when it's pretty pretty easy to set up you just go where it's supposed to go doom then you have here now at first when you put these they may be a little tight now you got some areas you know to slide these in it's very straightforward I mean this yes okay this guy around another ones and there you go okay and now you got two chairs they're both very comfortable this one here is a little bit wider now the difference between the two the bags this is a ripstop nylon you know for I guess weight but it's not too rugged and the singles one is corduroy okay so I'm telling you that the plus and minus type of thing here the one sales this top Cordura is a little bit more flimsy than the one from gearbest this one is some nice quality okay this one is it's not bad but you can see a difference now you take this off here won't you
hey yeah okay now these chairs are made for 220 pounds so it's not bad now the thing I don't like about this gear best one is okay I don't know I'm no expert in these chairs but I've got two and you know I'm not crazy about it this one here nothing they're locked into place so they always fall in this you know it when I use it they always fall in the same place when I put these on well I was out to figure out okay whoa hey see how this is a pain so even though the top here it's much better than that one I don't like this one at all something else I noticed yeah it's not tight at all this is the bottom piece so the other day when I was sitting down and what if these happen to sink I lift it up like this and you go to sit back down you can bust these very easily okay the one from sales that that's called awesomeness right there too so because I have the two this one I will use the sales body and the top from gearbest
and I'll have the best of both worlds now I know this is not helping you at all if you're looking for a chair but you asked me to talk about them and that's what I'm doing there you go perfect but I'll tell you right away if you're in Canada anyway and you happen to go to sales and you want one of these not too expensive 60 bucks go for it it's very comfortable I'm just a little bit picky Jozy sits on this is much better it's a little bit wider you know if you're wider and it's a little bit more lightweight than that but if you like a better top just get an expensive one about this and it's got no name on it - I mean it still works but I don't know so there it is make sure you take a look carefully when you buy these the one at 60 at sales dot CAS ail know I don't work for them check it online no problem and it's rugged it's got a nice rugged case comfortable it's even got something I'm gonna miss I might put it back on but it's even got a little pocket put your drinks and stuff but a few reasons why I love these chairs one they're very packable and second they don't weigh a thing zero well not zero but you know what I mean second when you're getting older you're gonna get you'll see when you get older your bones they'll get tired of sitting on the ground this chair relaxes the back like you can take any position like this no worries it's so comfortable you can relax your feet you know spread them everything just follows it's so it's so great and it's just at the right height if you're working carving or cooking thumbs up double thumbs up so I'm very sorry this probably didn't help you but I still talked about it [Applause]
okay so you're probably wondering what camera I got now I'm not gonna make a review of this please I'm just getting used to it it's the Canon it's a DSLR canon SL 2 so I'll use my iPhone just to give you a look if you can see can you see anything I can't see really I guess you could see something not sure but anyway okay now I need to get used to this thing it's much heavier it's bigger it's some getting used to but I'm hoping that the footage will be worth it it's a learning curve but it was about time that I did this learning curve okay that's it Josie is playing around with a drone today I've had for Christmas gift didn't have much time to use it right now we're gonna have some fun [Music]
[Music]
[Music]
[Applause]
[Music]
[Music]
decided to come back to my kettle lovely heavy cover no problem but I just missed this guy this in my cook sauce [Applause]
he took my place huh yep just stretching my back I just got some coffee well water boiling soon can have a coffee so yeah we got that that drone for Christmas as a gift and we didn't have much time to practice with it slowly we're practicing and hopefully we'll have some footage because you can't have it everywhere there's restrictions and also when we're in a canoe I mean you can't just if we'd be stable at one place for quite a while and we have some but we'll see in the future but it's fun right I got the hang of it I still have to get used to like glucan in my camp huh I think I smell water boiling right you smell water boiling yeah that plane seems to go be going round around maybe when it gets dark it'll stop we'll see [Applause]
well kind of spiderweb if there's a spider he's doomed it's probably too hot right so yeah we decided to come out at the tenets test the new tent and new camera so we left early we could leave early today we left at 9 this morning spend the night spend part of the day tomorrow and just leave just enjoy a little overnighter with my dear wife and my good old friends and faithful viewers [Laughter]
[Music]
jazzy the song sister so we're prepping would I wear in the woods to get some smaller branches and as I was cutting all of a sudden oh there's about 20 yellow jackets just surrounding me I said ok usually when there's one or two it's not so bad but Oh big problem I said there's no way I'm getting out of this one and they just checked a little bit and I saw their hole in the ground and they were mad coming in going back out and I was disturbing them making some noise so I just stalled I waited for them to calm down a little bit because when they started stinging they won't stop so I just turned around slowly and walked away and thank god there's not one that stung me know why I'm telling you guys I'd rather face a bear any time of the day even if I die I don't care than to face wasps I just don't like them actually a little bit more of that that's gonna actually boost my next tinder for the next time but next time I start a fire I don't have to worry about it right just have to have hardwood hardwood hardwood will keep your fire going for quite a while yes before you get those little twigs there yeah this nice little function thank you all right so if I find something else yeah sure I would answer more but for now the job is done for today it's time to relax [Music]
your name keep my eyes above the waves [Music]
when oceans rise my soul will rest in your embrace
[Music]
that's something you're gonna be seeing on cooking with Josie so I gotta close it it looks good [Music]
hmm well it's too bad you're not gonna see what I'm eating right now it's very good
well good morning what a beautiful morning it is last night was great it was very humid 80 percent humidity 10 degrees about 50 the tent did awesome of course you know 2 is a little bit tight one will be perfect a lot of heat you know two bodies I check for condensation no condensation of course it's not freezing temperatures but still it performed well and we enjoyed ourselves so we're just gonna relax have a coffee make breakfast spend a little bit of the day here not all day but that'll be it for this video so I invite you to check out the links in this in the description of this video and also don't forget to check out Josie's channel if you haven't subscribed yet she's got another take of this kind of video and other cooking videos I'll be I'm sure should be very grateful for that so you guys don't forget to enjoy the wilderness and we'll see you soon this is Mike from bushcraft Parton's bye well my dearest wife made me a coffee I don't remember the last time that happened bring me more overnight you sleep well yeah maybe I have weird dreams one after the other my dream was we were camping well that's not weird
yeah but chased by Dracula's [Music]
you
