so I did promise you to show a couple of blades when the fall would come and this is one of them okay so before we start talking about it let's take a very close look at it [Applause]

okay so let's talk about the blade about five inches overall about ten I guess give or take the this is a laminated blade the core is 1095 and the outer layer is a 203 II and between the two there's a sheet of nickel which is why you see this beautiful line here in it a lot of work went into this blade you've got a thumb rest a false wedge you've got loveless boats and mosaic pin tapir Tang the handle is made of a Claro walnut burl and I love it I like how dark it is you've got g10 obviously liners there if you can see the black sadly I don't have the Sun today but don't have much of a choice it's just a beautiful piece let's stare at this all day full flat grind

okay so as I've said before a lot of work went into this blade a lot of it and this is not a kind of blade that I usually show much on my channel but I just had to show it it's Thomas was thinking out of the box here and I like that and well you guys know if you've been watching me for a little while I've never been a big fan about thumb arrest and a false wedge just because I don't use it and the false wedge will I don't use that either but for this knife for this knife it's beautiful I love how the thumb rests the lines the details and then it goes back down that's why I had to show this it's great you know there's all kinds of knives out there for different reasons and different models and and this knife I mean really had to have this for my personal taste this false wedge and thumb rest here and I know if you've noticed but the thumb rest is not close its its its way up in front in a different area and usually why I don't like thumb rest is just I don't use them but this one will be used just because where it's positioned and I'll show that later now I know there'll be complaints you know about a false wedge being a pain on your thumb when your want to carve a little bit or if you baton it destroys a baton but it's still going to work don't worry about it it's just an awesome looking knife feels great and I know these are just first impressions but you know what guys it doesn't really matter to me what people will say I will always be honest on products on this channel the good the bad and the ugly even if it's given to me and I know most of the time is first impressions it's more in the long run I understand that but I can still get an idea even just on first impressions and this handle this handle is just amazing especially with a small glove but yeah that's why you know it's not like I didn't know this was coming this false wedge and thumb rest but I still wanted to show it because it's just unique I haven't seen too many knives like this yet so anyway what we're gonna do is just you know just play around with it a little bit and just see how it goes so this is where the thumb rest comes handy for me in making control cuts or minor cuts either for carving or notching is my thumb is well positioned and comfortable to hold the knife steady and then the tip just you know carve out my my pieces lots of control okay so I guess we could call this ray mears tent peg style did a great job of doing this small task a little bit of a taunting here that false wedge you bet on normal pieces and not four inches where you know I wouldn't anyway it's not even hardly affecting the baton it's doing very well actually dry wood littlenut yeah no efforts some small stuff to bigger stuff know what I like this knife it's not just a piece of art but an effective piece of art which is a great combination love it so super well done Thomas you've got talent I love the feel of it and the looks I want to do something special

I really have a heart especially in the last year to really not just support small businesses but to really try and give them a boost a hand and I'm gonna give you my idea and of course I can't do this alone I need all of your help that's if you're willing to do this now of course Thomas has a website and all that stuff I'll leave the links you know as usual below in the description take a look at his stuff he does not just those styles of knives pretty much probably anything you'd like if you need a knife go ahead and purchase from him or just you know stop by and say hello whatever but you know encourage him but the second thing that I would like us to do and I think I will do any any bushcraft related product that will come my way from a small business not from a company well-known company but from a small business I am going to do this if you guys want to work with me as a team we want to promote these young men and women and you know make a change in their lives be part of something make them known boost them up a bit and that way or the only way or the second way is to share this video share the living daylights of this video now I never asked that and don't do this for me at all it's not for me it's for Thomas and we're gonna do that together all I need to do is push on that button share and make this young man happy and maybe his dream come true of working full time so again Thank You Thomas for that awesome knife I thank all of you for your support and thank you in advance for supporting Thomas this is Mike from bush-rat barton's bye
