so I think we found our spot for the day it's checking for critters here make it nice home for them nobody's home so I guess we can borrow their piece of land which is just in front

all right so I just I decided to make a little different setup for you guys today which I like to do instead of having your you know horizontal crossbar I explain a few things very simple you got your main y stick you make it pretty high about three feet then you have where the chicken is this is this is a chicken breast these pieces are about four feet long now right now the fire is just about the perfect height it's about a foot and when it does go low I have another quick adjustment here in the back there where it can bring down my pieces move it forward backwards and adjust my pieces of chicken important to make some points on both ends not only does it secure your meat but when you need to turn it over you put it in and it's going to stay there instead of going all over the place obviously on my pieces of stick here always take the bark off now this is almost well it's winter time so bacteria is not that bad but we do that because and I can by experience I can tell you that the bark will give you a bitter taste so you take that off I flattened it out so it holds as much meat as possible and you know we make little points and you make a little incision on the fattest point and you just put in your stick and that's all it is actually pretty simple pretty simple setup all right so a lot of people in the past were asking me about this neck knife and I completely totally forgot you know if you mentioned what it is some of you actually mentioned the right thing all right this is a more 2.0 now of course the would I done this myself as you very well know if you've been following my videos I like to just you know play with it and stain them so I just made two darker ones hold on had a little booboo scratch there but it's a very small knife alright the blade is not even three inches I think and the handle maybe three well it's very small but I only use this knife for food prep that's it nothing else because I've used this in the past for you know wood and the steel on it is very soft and it doesn't keep an edge in it it's really poor for that anyway this one is but for food prep you know you sharpen this like very sharp and it just it just goes absolutely well so mora 2.0 and the sheet also this was supposed to be a leather sheet in the past when order it's more like plastic and was an ugly orange like the inside see the inside here hold on anyway it's an ugly orange so I just sanded it and just stained it a little bit you know just to kill that orange so this is what it is this is the other setup remember that Y branch thought I show you when the coals when you got pretty much just coals again it's pointed in the ground where I want the chicken to cook it's a lot lower and they're hanging on the lower one here over here same thing chicken is coming along not so bad slowly but surely you don't want to burn it you see a little bit of burns there the fire was a little high but should be good right folks chicken is cooked it's just a little bit overcooked but you know what I don't care I love it that way now before we came out or last night I said Josie I'd be taking care of lunch and you know how my wife is well pretty fancy she's a good cook and she brings everything out so what's going to go with this chicken is oh yeah some ramin's those cheap noodles yeah I'm kind of cheap but hey I got some meat right so I hope you guys forgive me for this so now all we're waiting for is for the water to get boiling pour this in here and we're going to be eating some grub yeah I know I was pretty cheap with the noodles but hey I thought of the neat awesome

obviously I didn't say on the video but we play with food specially me

make sure you didn't take your hands and the tools

and you brought with you Oh

I'll destroy you guys before I eat the whole thing

see something

see this piece it's gone huh very good eating there Oh hey noodles

for the mate some travel team kind of forgot our forks lazy to make Forks

you know

these are good well my meal wasn't so bad right guys I hope you're behind me so anyway they want to keep you guys waiting if you're fast enough as usual might have a little piece for you this one all right so now we're getting a quick fire going on to get that baller wall you know boiling as fast as possible as we want some coffee so we're going to have that you know just relax a bit and well I guess we'll see you in the woods somewhere

thanks for watching this is Mike from bushcraft Park
