what we're doing right now just clearing a path as I got a rifle to adjust and well we don't have any specific places well we do but they're too far away so I'm just doing it in my local woods so I got this 17 HMR for my wife Josie I think it's a well I love this caliber for a small caliber rifle and as most ladies they don't like the you don't like the boom or the recoil so this is just about perfect right now I'm adjusting at about a hundred feet and as you can see we're not very well equipped right now but this is all I got so I got to keep this as stable as I can my goodness first time this is the first time I think well let's just make sure all right usually I have to adjust it quite a bit more than this but this thing is gonna need no adjusting whatsoever you know what they do with the I can't remember the name of it but at the store when you buy a rifle Dale you put something at the end you know just to put it at least so you can have you know what's the word of that instrument to use but anyway to give you at least an advantage when you do come and adjust it it's not all over the place so let's check it out together let's take you off the camera for a second so this is 100 feet or so about 33 bowing in anyway 33 yards so it groups pretty good this is site about an inch and a half now here I you know I moved a bit well that's actually perfect gosh those intruments are pretty cool in the past there sometimes I'd need to get as close as you know about 50 feet to be able to get it in somewhere you know to know where to adjust it after so alright this is perfect

all right so today we're gonna try and get this fire started with natural resources using the Sun and this time of year of course it's slower or I mean the Sun that Earth is tilting so you gotta get if you want this to work in the summertime it's a lot easier when it's at the top you gotta get what it's hardest you look at the Sun and you see where it's pointing if you want this to work successfully so I'm happy Josie my wife is with me cuz wouldn't be able to do this because my where my fire is fire pit is

okay so we got it Josie's gonna follow me watch your step miss

so what you want to do if you want to have some success and not you know screw around too much with this you take a look at the Sun where it's aiming and try and get that point where it's hardest not where it's you know maybe shining there because you're gonna have a harder time of course with a dark color like this we know that dark color absorbs heat a lot faster so that helps you a lot but this is a cool method because it's natural you know natural resources you don't need to use the resources you have so got to be comfortable living around cat to chairs now the fire meat that God let that go for a little while when I build up some nice coals Jose you wanted to test their new fire pit so we'll have a simple breakfast for you guys all right so we're starting to get some pretty good coals so when we do this we always start with a banach obviously got a banach in that pot there and that usually takes about 40 minutes and then we'll have your basic sausages of course can't forget bacon and eggs but most of all just being out here with you guys enjoying this time is the best so we're pretty much set up we've got to modify a little bit my my hangar system here cuz this pot is way bigger than my way bigger than the CSI kid take care of that I can smell the Bannock what about you guys

another beautiful fall day right

so now we got some coffee on the go Vanek is doing fine tiny little bit burnt on one side but that's okay the coals are nice or going down can't ask for better right now but one more little thing I want to point out now one I know I'm going to be cooking a few things and obviously there's stuff that takes longer

so I cook and I make I mean I make a fire make sure I got some nice coals but you know after a while the coals as you're cooking one Nicola start going down now when I do make that first fire I keep my pieces around because they take longer to burn and makes longer you know coals so that's why you saw me split these here okay when the coal starts going down if I don't want to have to start rebuilding my fire and all that stuff I all I need to do is put these small thin pieces a little bit once in a while and the coals will stay there and this burns fast enough to make it you know an easy coal so after that's cooked well you can keep on cooking without having to rebuild your fire or having it to become so big or too small so a little tip just notice that I'm always recording or filming facing us so I decided that to show you from where I'm sitting right now where I am what it looks like

there's my beautiful wife playing with our phone of course you leave home without it

oh okay sorry about that all right oh look at that bad guys look at that Bannock she's gonna be awesomely delicious what a beautiful day this is and I think if next week we have some time we're gonna spend a night here what do you think if you like spending it over night here and we'll see this will be pretty fun pretty cool yeah I mean at night it becomes you know a little chilly zero freezing point I mean cuz zero for you guys is colder I guess 30 Fahrenheit so anyway this is a little look of and I just love being by a little creek little water put you to sleep crackling of the fire Oh a night you know while this thing was going pretty good even though it's not a very big it's not a very big big heat reflector it did reflect heat right here quite nicely so what's next on the menu my I love o sausages alright getting hungry

right now we'd have plenty of cold you know what to keep on cooking whatever we need to cook and we have a nice flat rock here that's hot I could cook for a while too but remember these little pieces I'm talking about I'll usually do I'll just put it on the back just a few don't need that many these will burn slowly still and keep some coals going for me I know if later on I'm gonna make some fire make some coffee again or if we're spending the night well don't have to restart so that burns slowly and catches nicely as you can see that's good enough and you know it's a good how could I say it not a fire starter buddy continuing higher type thing those sausages are looking good there that's a little burn part there we got but a quite impossible not to burn Vanek a little bit it doesn't take much just got a few coals under and those sausages are cooked throw in the bacon and have a little bit of bacon grease mixed up with that and throw in the eggs whoa it's gonna be good so the main course meal is almost done

Vanek is ready sausages and bacon are done now we just have to mix a little bit of the eggs and a little bit of bacon grease that's gonna be some good a bit of salt and pepper yeah it keeps things out of the way and without burning anything of course the coffee's gonna be ready a little later so we're almost ready hope you guys are hungry

all right it's a little bit of mixing it see we will be done all right so as usual before it goes down in my belly she's all done here you got your sausages bacon and eggs and the Bannock and this time hold on this time whoo

mahan can you smell this smell this time I did not forget the butter you cannot live without butter so let me just pour some now not too much butter guys okay it's all good for the health well if I die something at least I'll die with some butter in my stomach now what does this look like to you good look at that melting oh my goodness okay that's enough I'm eating well

you know I don't have to say now we didn't want to eat in your face like this sorry I'm gonna tell you one thing guys you know one of the main reasons why we love to do this come out of here now it's it's not just being outdoors being in nature and coming out with your deer and practicing stuff from their skills

that's all part of it that's awesome one of the main reasons is providing for our needs what I mean by that you're a little bit cold make a fire and you start heating up you're comfortable and that's just glorious you're a little bit hungry fill up your stomach with some nice hot damn or a little coffee a drink and you're thirsty you feel good that's the one of the main reasons I believe that we love being out

oh yeah

our meal is awesome Coffee is

the desert of the woods well Russ anyway we love to finish this of course my wife is still eating at banning was delicious so I guess this will be it for this video

we're going to sip on this coffee slowly and

this relax smells so good your bellies are cool maybe have a little snooze

listen to that water it's just perfect and of course as usual you guys are the best I mean thank you again for watching our videos first of all conferences or I don't see it as often again I urge you guys to just get out there enjoy

beautiful days that we have by your way or the winter gets here winter is nice too but it's a different type to be harder

all right Cheers
