eight afternoon I'm Dave can birth wilderness outfitters I'm in the Pathfinder school I want to show you my little pocket fishing kit today we did a little review on this last year I made quite a few improvements on it since then and made some improvements on it late last year and they get a chance to get back with you but I got an email from a buddy of mine overseas sent me an article about a fishing kit that a man had made pocket style fishing kit very similar to this one as some of the very same ideas actually so it can't be too bad off but this gets a little bit more self-contained than the one he had his was made on a piece of PVC and it was just basically a blank tube whereas this is a container that carries your entire fishing kit so what we've got here is we've got and this is a drill bit tube and they've got things I've seen these at Lowe's as well as Home Depot with drill bits in them so you can get this tube but basically on the outside of this tube you have a string that's wrapped around it with just duct tape so that you can keep it in your hand because you can actually cast this and I'll show you in a minute how that works and I've got some orange tape on here because I've got big hooks inside the kit to use for like drop-line fishing for survival situations so I can mark the trees to know what my drop lines are out along the shoreline and then I've got about 25 30 yards of an eight pound test tri lean line on the outside when you open this kit and open this tube up pull it in the centre you actually have the bobber and hook now you're stuck in my finger hanging right there together so you don't ever have to take them off you don't want to now on the bottom side of this kit I've got about Oh 40 or 50 feet of a hundred and thirty pound test boat fishing line that I use for drop line and then on the other side I've got two plastic bags are taped together with a series of hooks sinkers and lures within them well ok today we're just going to cheat a little bit I'm not going to go out and dig worms I'm actually going to use some jarred Bates called gulp by Berkeley looks like a little maggots works really good for small fish and they'll work good today to demonstrate this kit so what I'm going to do because I'm going to be bobber fishing here basically I'm going to go ahead and stick a couple weights on this line about oh I don't know 4 or 5 inches up from my hook and put them on my multiplier and we'll get back to you all right go yep okay there's more weight in Hindman moss and there's on the fish okay nice lifting off fell right in the one good thing about catch me little fish here you can use these things to have a good snack for in the evening and then you can cut them up put them on your drop bars in the evening the next morning you'll have some faster turtles one of the two cats that's your turtles probably waiting on you that grow up say that Berkeley power baits are good emergency bait
I bet this jars they you're too old it lasts a long time through threes little maggots on a hook all text you cannula catch at least one maybe two fish every time
all right you're back out there to water little babe but still proving out the fish fishing system does work [Applause]
guess littles sooner or later is going to catch again okay a beauteous system is I don't have to undo anything I can just tuck all this stuff right down the tube just like this put my lid on my lines right there shove it down and twist it until it's tight just like that and it's ready to go just like it is put it back in my backpack and I'm ready to rock and roll for the next time appreciate you joining me here down with us Outfitters home of the Pathfinder school for our little review of the Pathfinder mini fishing kit and I appreciate your support thank you [Music]
