all right so we got our coyote meat in there with some beef bullion and we're just going to let that kind of slow simmer here for a little while in the Dutch oven

I see we've got some bigger pieces of wood back behind those Kephart style fire irons they're put our Dutch oven sitting on top of them we just got cold underneath the Dutch oven so as that stuff burns those bigger chunks we'll be able to rig coals underneath that Dutch oven to control the heat that we want all right let's take a look at this coyote meat in about 30 minutes here oh yeah look at that man now we want to keep that broth in there but we want to Bowl that for a little while we're leaving for about another 10-15 minutes we're going to add our taters all right now we're going to come in here we're going to add some potatoes in here and we're going to mix that up real well

we looked at Boyle just a little bit with the lid on we're going to take the lid off for a little bit and let it reduce alright so we're going to pop this lid to the side a little smoky right there guys but pop that lid to the side let some of that liquid evaporate off of there and the steam before we add some rice to it all right now one of the things that I love to use in the woods because it's convenient to carry it's cheap and it's just all-around easy as its Uncle Ben's precooked rice you can open up a package of this and throw it in there you're not going to have to wait an hour for that rice of its soft it's already precooked but it's not going to hurt anything for you to cook it a little longer mix that right in here with our taters home and now again somewhere back now we need a little more old Bay on that dude a little more steaming and we're really going to have something this is just a butter and garlic flavor on this main obey time all right now we need is some black pepper

oh man stir that around do needs about another 15 20 minutes it is going to be just absolutely crazy good crazy man I can't hardly stand it myself right there she is oh man look at that Jiali kidding me somewhere that kiled me help me know Rufus we want some of that man can't let him down here right now cause traffic too close and you can't tell me there's anything better

watching the trappers camp in the wall town and so you don't even know what you're missing

don't eat wild game including predator meat you don't know what you're missing it's just a matter of how you cook it my am Tyler but coral man I'm telling you this coyote meat is fantastic right holy crap can't get enough of it drinking that ah me movie folks I had to tell you I appreciate you joining for this quick video on just cooking up some coyote meat for lunch here again I believe as a trapper we should utilize the majority of the animal that we harvest and I and very particular about my trapping out here at the school from a wildlife management and conservation standpoint I think a lot of people have this this vision of me or if trappers just you know anything that goes goes and we just want to trap all the animals off the land that's not the case I'm very particularly our only trap once every two years and only run about twenty to twenty-four traps in the beginning and then I cut that back and I'm trapping right now mainly for canine but I only take probably ten to twelve canine off this entire wildlife area in my property as well which is well over four thousand acres over the next month and a half and I'll probably take maybe ten to fifteen possums and a couple coon and here's the deal with that okay from a conservation standpoint begin their piece of sky oatmeal um once you have to realize mama taught me I thought my mouthful what you have to realize is a coyote is a nuisance animal in this part of North America and they have no natural predators so they eat everything below them including deer including small game including driving completely out the grey fox and a red fox from these territories they also are harassment to livestock and their danger to pets and children now of course we've encroached in their areas enough now that they're coming into urban environments that's not their fault but from a wildlife management standpoint if I don't control that top predator then I'm asking to have less game on my land everything from deer on down when it comes to possum possum come into heat or come into breeding or are ready to breed every 14 days and their gestation period is very short and they have large litters so they're very prolific animal in Eastern woodlands and one of their favorite foods is turkey eggs and they're very hard on the american turkey population so controlling that animal is very important as well and again i don't take that many of them but I try to eat everything that I harvest or at least eat a part of everything I harvest obviously I made this whole coyote but I'm eating a good majority of the back end meat off of it and I think that's important I'll take the high and I'll use it probably retrain for trade or give away to someone who's making a project with leather or wants to try to attain their first high I'll scrape it I'll stretch it and I'll dry it and I'll send it to someone who wants it and just have them pay the shipping so I'm not in this for the money I'm in it for the practice because you can't own a skill without practicing that skill and trapping is a skill that you are going to need in a long-term self-reliant scenario do not kid yourself and think that you can hunt and supply yourself with food because hunting alone will not supply you with enough food over the long term especially if you have a family you're going to need to learn to trap learning to trap ethically humanely and obeying the laws and understanding what traps you can use for what animals and how to manage that correctly is what's important I appreciate you guys going for this video I appreciate your views I appreciate those of you who do support me and my school my family we appreciate the support for our business from our sponsor instructors affiliates and friends and I'll be back with another video soon I can't guys thanks man that is some of the best food on the planet right there born on
