so well I got a fire going here I just thought I would discuss a little bit more about winter clothing winter dress things like that it's important to understand that you know we talked about the layering concept in other videos and wearing basically three sections or three layers and today you know I have a merino wool expedition wheat shirt on with a wool shirt over top of that and then I have my anti rat type style filled jacket that's made from g1000 I wears an outer shell and as you work and as you Tramp around the woods you're going to need to be able to regulate that temperature of your body you have to be able to let that hot air out so you don't sweat it's called thermal regulation so being able to have layers that you can open up is important and that's one of the reasons that I carry like the boreal shirt in my bag instead of on my body most of the time because unless I'm sitting still that thing's too hot and if I have no way of opening it up to release heat I pretty much just have the ability to take it off and that's it whereas with something like this I can open up the the anorak or open up the field jacket I can take the field jacket off and then what I'm sitting around a fire like this and get warmed up I can open up this wool and I can then remove it all together when I get warmed up or if I get overheated out on the trapline I'm working or something like that I can shed that layer all together I can roll the sleeves up and do all those things even though it's ten degrees out here today sitting around this fire after tramping on the trapline and checking traps I'm pretty warm so now I've cooled down a little bit because I've stopped but I've collected some firewood and things like that now I'm going to shed some layers while I'm near the fire and kind of let this wicking layer dry out a little bit in the air so that any sweat that did accumulate on it is going to dry out while I'm sitting here before I redress to truck back out I always carry salt cured bacon oh really really good Sarah Bacon's get close here perfect amount of fire here not too much not too little we'll have a whole lot to wait on just skedaddle out of here back to the cabin looking right now looking right alright god well you know these videos are very much vlog style not necessarily worried about putting this awesome content into every video I just want to kind of give you guys a look at pretty much what I do and I've been out on the trapline checking things putting in a few more sets here and there trying to get to meet basically the mink aren't cooperating right now so I'm going after whatever and get above the creek bed but there's gonna be tips and tricks and little things know in every one of these videos so I hope you'll keep watching the season 2 of the trapper's cabin I appreciate your views I appreciate your support I thank you for everything you do for a school for a business for a family all of our sponsor instructors affiliates and friends and I'll be back another video in this series as soon as I can
