afternoon guys Dave Canterbury with the Pathfinder school what I wanted to do today was I wanted to introduce you to the new trucker model knife by Jeff white and this knife is an exact replica of the butcher knife that I've been carrying for three or four years he's seen in lots and lots of videos and it's not a standard butcher knife it's not an Old Hickory or a Green River or anything like that it is a hand forged eighth inch butcher knife that I found that a sale for three bucks years ago and it has become my favorite knife it has been the standard that I have compared other knives to this is an exact replica of that knife in handle shape profile the whole nine its eighth of an inch made out of 1095 high carbon steel it has curly maple handles with two pins full tang 90 degrees spine no coating it's got a hammer finish and we're going to beat this thing up a little bit today and see how she compares stay with me well guys I hope you enjoyed that as much as I did I like to give knives a run for their money wet white oak is a good run for splitting and chopping tasks and batani cedar is a good carving wood to try to do feather sticks with and then if it will take a ferrocerium rod and light up what you've carved down into feather sticks and finer material you've got a win-win situation for a good knife we should have the first 20 or 30 of these available by next week on our website again it's called the trekker model by Jeff white it will be available on both our site and on the Jeff white mirror site from self-reliance Outfitters the retail price of this knife is going to be right at $70 and that's without a sheath we'll have a couple different sheath options available for this knife but the raw knife is going to sell for $70 again it's eight inch 1095 high carbon steel full tang curly maple handles and this is an exact replica of the butcher knife that I've been carrying for years and I'm very very impressed so far with how this one does as well as you can see from this video I thank you for your views I thank you for support I thank you for everything you do for our school for our family for our business for all of our sponsors instructors and filius and friends and I've got a special announcement coming on a 300,000 subscriber giveaway that we're going to do right before Christmas let's stay tuned to my channel for more details on that to come soon back to another video soon as I can thanks guy
