just hangover punch another hole win it get a heat-treated all right so I've heated this tool up now to non-magnetic and quenched it in just motor oil let it dry off wiped it down and now I am tempering it by bringing the hardness back at 400 degrees for two hours and just a regular toaster oven that's how I temper my tools all right so here's the deal that thing was working like a charm and we had an epic fail of a steal so I would say that that auto body scraper type steel

there's no good so I'm gonna have to grab a horseshoe rasp make something else the same dimension start over alright so I spent most of the evening last night and this morning working on a new tool head for this handle and it's gonna fit up exactly the same way it's a little bit wider and I actually made it just a little bit longer here to give me a little bit more reach with that adds it'll screw in it same as the other one did but I still have to heat treat and final sharpness bleh then we'll be ready to get back on this bowl sometimes trial and error is how you learn he's doing really really well actually I'm surprised goodness especially I'm small bowl because the tool itself is obviously a little bigger than happen as I used to wrap abortion grasp that's a little wider

that by sharper necklace then take much you didn't thank good that's for sure guys I appreciate you joining me for this video today on how to make an ads and we had to make it twice because we broke the first one the material choice was a bad one I was using an old auto body whereas type float and those do not make good tool so I went back to the Horseshoe rasp that I use all the time the horse buffer ASP that I used quite often to make tools with and it's working just fine it's nice and sharp I'm happy with it it's got a good angle the bevel worked out really really well it's coming out of the material goods going in the material good it's razor sharp I've got no complaints with it at all I mean it hollowed out that ball to the point where it's ready for work with other tools in about three or five minutes so I'm really happy with that I appreciate your views I appreciate your support and thank you for the you do for our school for our family for our business for all of our sponsored instructors affiliates and Friends I'll be back then to the video said I can't thanks guys
