afternoon gosh Dave Cadbury the Pathfinder school out here just kind of hiking around doing what I call stump shooting I do a lot of videos on a lot of different things guys and I'm really into archery as well as you know old-time firearms and things like that muzzle loaders I'm also very heavy into archery have been almost my whole life this bow is one that was sent to me by a company called two tracks and he's out of Michigan he makes a really nice lightweight longbow it's a reflex D flex design it's very very fast I've only shot probably thirty arrows through this thing since I got it from him I talked to him on the phone a while back and he was asking me about making some type of custom bow you know I told him I said it's really hard to find a custom bow that's a common man price everybody wants you know seven hundred eight hundred dollars for a custom bow I said you know we got to be able to get somewhere we got to meet that in the middle someplace he said well I think I can make you a pretty nice custom bow you know that we can sell in the four hundred dollar range and I said well if you can send me something like that you know I've got guys that would be interested in buying bows in that price range and I realize you know that you can get a lot of bows out there including the primal gear survival bow which is a great bow for the hundred twenty nine dollar range but for a custom made would bow and this has got fiberglass overlay on the limbs but it's a custom made bow that's made one at a time nothing in this bow is made in a factory this is you know craftsmanship American craftsmanship at its best and probably you know every bit of 30 40 hours in this bow for this guy to sell it for $400 I think that's more than reasonable I'm going to go out and stump shoot a little bit today and play with it but I can tell you from what I've seen so far this is the long Walker model it's 66 inches long it is a 50 pound draw 20 inches more than enough for me more than enough to kill anything in North America but it is just a absolute beautiful bow I've got to set it quickie Quivers on here old fredbear quickie Quivers I got off of ebay and my hunting arrows and my stump shooting arrows give you a kind of a close-up look at that thing I've got a your grip rolled onto it which is basically like a rubber inner tube to give you a grip even in wet weather but it's got some beautiful Osage in here it looks like it's got some maple here and then the limbs cores are maple with a black glass overlay over that limb or I'm sorry a brown glass overlay over the limb we talked on the phone I told me that when I think black because black stands out too much in nature I want something Brown I want natural color so it's got some yellow Osage in there the blond color maple and then it's got the brown glass over top of that and some brown wood here and here that looks kind of like coca bola in the core as well so the beautiful bow let's go out and poke around a little bit with it shoot a little bit see how she does take home soggy bottom Bayou Bowl play me a song here blue water take home bring back them good old days I used to know you're the cool way that I found to practice my archery skills in the woods is just to take random objects you know like a brightly colored bandanna or something like that and lay it just off a trail just over some brush we're not going to lose any arrows but it's off the ground just a little bit and walk through from different angles and shoot that and see where you end up if you got a bandana it's got a pattern on it you've probably got a spot you can pick a name the biggest problem I see with people that are new to archery and the biggest reason to have problems is because they don't repeat things over and over archery and especially instinctive archery traditional archery is very much about repetition and muscle memory we talked about that just a couple videos ago but you've got to be able to bring that bow back and anchor that arrow in the same place every single time keeping that elbow straight not flopping here pointing up here right here in a straight line with that bow so that when you release it it's being released in the same spot every single time so I picked the corner of my mouth and I draw that arrow back until my finger touches my mouth then I know as long as my elbow straight I've got a straight line with my eyes and I'm looking straight down that arrow pretty much but I'm not aiming off the arrow I'm just looking at the target your body will do the rest alright guys we got an arrow that we broke here no big deal you're going to have that when you're out stump shooting you're going to burn up arrows I'm using wood arrows right now I'm not using any carbons but the Pathfinder carbon arrows take down arrows all that stuff would fly tremendously faster even than wood how did that bow for sure probably a little bit more accurate but I'll just heat this up pull this tip off and I want to lose a small game tip it's a good bumper tip trash the rest of the arrow and go from there maybe shorten this thing up a little bit using for a crossbow it still got plenty of length left in it for that for sure

okay guys well I tell you what you know I lost the tip on here at that time so stuff like that's going to happen to you when you're out doing this stuff don't take you know your best arrow is out there to practice with because you're sure to lose them you're sure to break them you're sure to lose tips things like that but it's fun it's good practice and it's part of the fundamentals of learning muscle memory which is just like any other skill archery is the same way let this serve as an introduction to a response series I'm going to start on the witchery of archery that series has been moved in a virtual classroom but because of not because I wanted to get rid of it and put it in virtual classroom where people had to pay to get to it but really because it was a low quality video and I want good high quality video on my channel so I'm going to do a response to that series called witchery of archery and it's going to start with this intro series basically on stumped shooting a target practicing also with the review of this two tracks bow which by the way I'm really really impressed with obviously I had some misses today but if all you show is two hits to make yourself look like the expert Archer then you're not doing yourself or anybody else any favors because it's really not that easy I appreciate joining with this video I appreciate everything you do for me for my school for my family for my friends of my affiliates and my sponsors I'll be backed into the video as soon as I can you
