morning folks I'm Dave Canterbury with self-reliance outfitters in the pathfinder school what I'd like to do today is I'd like to show you a product that I purchased this weekend or this past weekend at the Pathfinder gathering from Brad home and at rocky woodland Forge and Brad's a good friend of mine and he's a very very good blacksmith and he has a new tool kit called the wood craft toolset that I think is very innovative in that he has brought it forward from way back in time back in the old days lots and lots of tools were set up to fit the same handle so you had one drift that was used by the blacksmith and he would drift all of his tool heads to fit the same handle what that allowed people to do was carry the tool heads and make the handles on the fly it also made it very easy to replace a handle or pull a handle from one tool and put it on another and the rocky woodland Forge wood craft tool kit is all set up to fit a standard tomahawk handle let's take a look so I've put my tool set in just a tool bag here you can make separate sheets for these and put them anywhere you wanted to what you have is you have a tomahawk head you have an adze or curved Bowl ads you have a ground hog or digging tool you have an auger bit adapter that will fit any standard old-style

auger bit and you have a fro so you have everything you need really for woodworking other than a saw in this one kit and all of these tools will fit the same tomahawk handle they're all drifted now this one's drifted a little bit tight for a reason and that is because it set it to be a t-handle so it doesn't go all the way to the end the rest of these go pretty close to the center you can cut that handle off if you wanted to as a standard tomahawk handle they all fit about the same about an inch and a half without being pressed enter pounded in and then of course the fro eye goes in upside down because your fro is a tool that goes on the handle in this direction and it's pounded like this so let's take some of these tools and put them away and we'll process a piece of wood down a little bit I've got a piece of sassafras here so it's pretty grainy as you can see it splits it right out then we can take that tool off and go to a different tool guys I appreciate you joining me out here for just a quick look at the wood craft toolkit from rocky woodland Forge as you can see about everything you need to do to process wood for wood crafting type projects you can do with this kit if you have a saw you could crosscut the grain but everything else that you need to do splitting wood with the grain being able to shape the wood being able to put concavities in the wood and being able to bore the wood are about all the steps that you need to take depending on your project to build almost anything you need and all of those things can be done in small to medium scale with rocky woodland forges wood craft tool kit I'm Dave Canterbury with supple on top there's a pathfinder school I thank you for everything you do for our school for our family and for business so our sponsors and structures affiliates and Friends I'll be back with another video as soon as I can and I'll try to put a link to Brad Homans website on the bottom of this video thanks
