it's missionary survival I was asked to show some different material options for tinder bundles so we're going to do one today stay tuned alright so dry dead grass is like this broom sedge right here is a great option for a tendon bundle it's almost ready to go that's the way it is I could prep it a little bit so let's go ahead and do that alright so this is all broom sedge this is a clearing in the woods right along a trail right here you can see it's on both sides of the trail so you know it really prefers to be in the opening with clearings if possible all rights when I harvest this stuff I always cut it that way the root system everything is still intact so we'll continue growing yeah I'm harvesting some of this I'm not killing two different things alright is what I go I have some of the growth that was dead laying around the plant I have some young shoots and I have some old shoots the older much stiffer than the young ones the reason why I have all three is because i like to use the old ones to hold the whole bundle to be the structure i use the rest to build a bundle alright something to get this off the ground put onto my rock now it's thicker at the bottom than it is at the top so what I like to do is just break it 3-close the way up so I can take the thinner stuff throw off to the side this I'm really not going to process all right

just buffing it up by rubbing it together twisting it breaking the fibers creating my surface area I got so far so I'm going to collect all the smaller stuff my bucket that fell much finer I'm going to buff again roll it in between my fingers give you guys a close-up of that yeah so i'm going to gather up all this good stuff here

buff it up even more alright so now this stuff is what's going to be in the middle of my bundle ok so now going to take something material i have bash it up a tiny bit make like a undercarriage for my tinder bundle now I'm going to just grab the whole thing

put the stocks this is what it looks like all together all right let's grab a piece of char I'm along with the kid and just to give you guys a heads up there's a little rabbit behind me keeps running across the trail back and forth and he's having some fun playing some games so being something run around back there that's what it is hopefully we'll make little cameo appearance when I'm blown this into flame when I move the camera we'll see all right get myself ready to go I'm gonna strike this okay won't hit wonder there we go put this my bundle JS right there

all right there you have it catch on the bed and throw this down put it out Oh aspirin a survival appreciate your views you're commenting support as you can see behind me is but if you turn the bundles get you guys in the next one take care
