I own this is Mitch with the native survival school today I'm going to be cooking meat in a leaf bundle for a survival situation

stay tuned take some of these wild onions cut them so they continue growing oh yeah alright so I got some broccoli leaves right here take a couple of these just soften them up a little bit so I can wrap my fish and then I just loop in a tiny bit here we go so see how it's hanging limp and loose like that so now I can bend it around the fish and it won't just snap and be brittle so I'm gonna wilt a bunch of these up I'll get back to you ok so I have a nice piece of card first thing I'm gonna do is put some of these wallowing in it smells incredible

all right so now I'm gonna wrap it up okay so now my fish is all wrapped up in the leaves let's get cooking all right so I've dug a hole next to my fire drags Mendes in there that's amazed a couple I'll let them cool down a tiny bit so I want to scorch it get my water ready

all right take a tiny bit of soil just sprinkle it put in there put some water on it

Ariat small soil now I'm going to take all those hot embers so I'm right on top scream it hot all right and all the heat and moisture is sealed right in okay so the fish is right here so I've built my fire back up just move it right over all right so it's been about a half hour see what it looks like fire over should be right in here that is right there suit crazy hot so obviously it's very hot in here right now so I don't want to burn myself dislodge it all right so there it is on my wood plank moment truth now I'm going to be gentle about this because I might have to rewrap it and put it back in if it's not done cooking times vary greatly depending on the ambient temperature the type of wood you're using all of that it's definitely moist this will open it a little bit I'm going right to the middle thickest part let's see if it's done oh it's flaking good what's flaking real good excellent now the taste test do something this put a little water while dunking on oh I bet that's gonna be good here we go I'll get us beautiful mmm really nice flavor doesn't have a strong fishy taste to it like it didn't coconut for anything it's not dried out it's nice and moist while bunion is excellent it's not overpowering it's real so does it cook down it's perfect your Malcolm you want some in sure do dig in man have some more as well Mike you wanna chunk you know try some gotta play okay oh yeah

it's real moist that's good mmm you taste the the wild onion - well it's nice the great way to cook without a pot without any gear at all yeah it's awesome it's wrapped in leaves and buried it under my fire where does challeng stuff just so good mmm

basil make sure it's a wrap really well because they can get a lot of dirt in there dad is no there's no diving this at all perfectly clean meat mmm there are usually caught is like a really fishy but not at all like yeah let's do that amazing yeah I cook really well so like especially wasting delicious not but a bunch of mmm alright so just for craziness I put some of the Atlantic salt that I made so I just salted this fish oh my goodness I'm just gonna have a big old chunk of it take the end pop mmm you couldn't get this at a restaurant dude it's so good that was so good

it's already good before but when you have to sea salt to it it just takes it to unknown levels mmm mmm yeah the sea salt definitely enhances the fish yeah good stuff mmm finger looking good all right listen to Mitch opinator survival school I'll see you the next one take care
