hey it's missionary survival let's go harvest our twig tap and see what we finally got out for a few days okay this is our twig tap let's see the harvest that's excellent that's over half full that Billy can so we're only a few days into the season we got a cold spell that came in and froze up all the SAP you're just starting to run again this is the first dates running again and as you can see this Billy can is really filling up so this twig is working beautifully alright so what I'm gonna do is get a taste test it's filled up to here it's pretty good for a couple days awesome awesome Billy can build up maple sap

so we make this happen all I needed was my knife to carve this drill in a drill bit so I took out one of the most complicated parts of the process which was the spigot because it's you know like it like a metal tube and it has a hole in the back and has a place to hang things and it's like this big you know mechanism so this shows is very easy to take the spigot the tap out of the equation completely normally you have to carry as many spigots as you want a tap tree so if you want to type 40 trees yet the carry 40 spigots in your pack you know and that's how many i own a 140 and it's about the size of a little bigger than a softball right it's maybe like a grapefruit sized pouch holds all of those so take up a lot of space and they're really very specialized you know and the first thing you want to do is when you're working towards self-reliance is remove things from your pack that are really specialized and keep breaking down so I took those out of the equation and I'm really happy with your results I better stop one of anything to make syrup out of well thanks for joining me for this twig tap experiment appreciate you views comments free sport see you in the next one take care
