hey it's machines survival now we're gonna go over the wool gear and the other clothes that I keep in my rook stay tuned

that's about my wool sweater that I wear I carry one all the time it is a Swedish military surplus water okay so the wool gear I use I use a wool hat I use fingerless gloves I'm gonna put on put them on now actually because they're on the teams will mittens it's a three-piece system is these love mitts canvas and leather this thing's a bomber when it gets really cold these are absolutely key and they keep everything else dry you know because when this stuff gets wet it's not as effective so this is the the moisture barrier on the outside all right so last but not least is my neck warmer this is a really really important piece of kit I usually don't pull it out until it's absolutely brutal when it's really really cold out really windy out I've been skiing a long time I'm like 34 years old I've been skiing for like 31 years this would be my 31st winter that I'll be skiing so I've been skiing since since I've been 3 and I can tell you that this piece of kit is the one that's key when you're skiing down the mountain when the winds in your face it's really cold this is it right here this is the one that allows you to ski when it's brutal up because it covers your neck going down to your chest and it fills up all those seams it overlaps over your sweater your shirts and all that stuff so it's key for that at the same time it fits underneath my hat so I kind of wear it like this or I got my hat on my head

it goes over my ear so it gives me another layer over my ears and my eyes can still see out and it covers my nose this is pretty much how I wear it and it's absolutely key all right so my other clothes which is very minimal I keep in my bedroom I really don't like to carry a lot of clothes because it's kind of waste so in here that's it there's my my tarp and my hammock right there at the end this is all I carry for clothes

I carry insulated long johns and I carry an extra pair of wool socks so I got two of these one on one in here carry a pair of underwear and I carry an extra t-shirt same one that I wear all the time

long sleeves as you can see I just carry two not a big deal this one kind of changes around because I don't have woods clothes and in town clothes this is just like the clothes I wear all the time you know I mean so what you should do is whom I launched is getting low and I need a t-shirt for work or something I'll grab this one out of my rock and then after I do laundry I'll throw another one in you know I got brown ones green ones grey ones whatever so this one kind of changes these just pretty much stay in there all the time just a pair of underwear and a pair of socks so real simple you know an extra of each of these and the reason why I do this is when I wear my moccasins I like to wear two pairs of socks and it also is nice when I wash one pair of socks I could put another one on you know same with the underwear as you wear underwear a couple days you know I wear a pair and I'll turn it inside out the second day you know then that next day I'll change into this one and I'll wash that first pair and then I that for two days one on one side inside out one on the other side so I have like a two days cycle so I keep switching back and forth on these when I'm in the woods yeah and a t-shirt I mean you know I can wear a t-shirt forever I go three four days on a t-shirt no problem at all and then all I do is just put on my nice clean one and I just wash the other one you know it's really simple stuff you know just laundry in the woods instead of laundry at home no big deal you know you wash it by hand you hang it up at dries piece of cake you know so this is pretty much it my insulated layer which is really really key when it gets below zero I find that this keeps my legs warmer than just my pants alone and my extra socks underwear and shirt give me that extra layer to deal with when I'm washing things like that helps me cycle so this is how I caramel moccasins in my rock as well nice and tight right in there and it really helps to have a secondary foot wear you know these are like feather-light I don't even know that I'm wearing them and it really allows me to to cross rivers and streams and stuff really light-footed and I really find that on river crossings in like that it really just makes life a whole lot easier than big heavy clunky boots now when I wear these all I do is is tie my boots not too here on the side but on the front of my pack right here I just tie my boots really really tight so they have like no swing not flying around is tie them right to here that way I have the versatility of gore-tex boots or feather-light moose hide moccasins okay so as you can see pretty simple system you know I just carry one extra of pretty much everything except for my pants and I can mend them as I go you know I carry needle I carry some so much to thread I also carry bank line things like that so I can repair all my stuff not a problem you know I know how to sew and I have these extra little bits of clothes that allow me to stay clean in the woods you know it's really important to have something extra you know you don't want to wear the same pair of underwear forever you know that's that's unacceptable because you're gonna run into problems of bacteria and all sorts so obviously you know you have to do laundry and I just keep one of everything pretty much so I can cycle it out it's been mentioned in survival I appreciate you views your comments in support see in the next one take care
