its mission 8 at survival so I'm going to make some chaga tea alright so a nice piece of chaga right here and what you want to do is just powder eyes it now you can do that several different ways you can just take a piece of rock doesn't matter really what it is long as it's slightly shot and scrape it another way is to use a little folding saw whether use it on a multi-tool or wherever the cases play you going for powder so next step is to dump it into my mug

and goes the water right so let's fill up about halfway I'm just mixing in the choco powder now it goes straight on our fire okay just had a nice little drizzle come through it's probably been about a half hour that my traga has been steeping let's see how it's doing all right got a nice steam rolling off of it and all of the choco powder has sunk to the bottom the liquid looks perfect nice and dark has a slight brown tint to it almost black I'll let it cool down just a little bit and then we're all set steaming cup here we go still be hot hmm delicious has a very mild flavor sagar is a bit rare in the woods some cultures I refer to it as the diamond in the forest usually grows it's a fungus usually grows on birch trees and the northern climes this chaga was harvested nearby by a friend of mine Fox Walker that was generous enough to share appreciate it really doesn't get better than this it's incredibly healthy for you last stat that I read on it was that it was the item to mankind that has more antioxidants than anything else known that's very impressive it's very easy cup of tea to make in the woods you can simmer it make a tea but guided or an infusion you can also make a decoction which is boiling it down getting rid of a lot of the moisture content that is the water that you put in so you keep shrinking it down and it gets more concentrated as there's less water so it's less diluted then you can add more water and do it again and again and you can make multiple generation decoction out of it and every time you boil it down because it's in there longer and it just keeps extracting a little more its concentration increases so it's a few ways to use it but you always want to polarize it so there's as much surface area as possible so you can get maximum extraction out of it now it's at the perfect temperature it's absolutely amazing

hmm
