Oh

Oh

this is where being ambidextrous really comes into play when you want to cut a circle you're right whatever hand it is likes to cut away like this and you flip it over and you do it again that's only half the circle then you can do the other side and finish it off flip it and finish it off and it completes the circle so this is really where being able to use your knife of both hands really pays off you know it also obviously pay off too if I was injured yeah it's very very important to be able to use your knife with both hands helps you craft and it might save your life one day you know you might notice that when I'm carving there's nothing sticking up over here so if I have a problem and my knife goes flying off my piece my finger isn't up here where it's going to get cut underneath right so always always try to manipulate the piece in your hands and your knife in a way that were you to slip your finger is not in the way it's always underneath the piece it's always behind something

okay so now what I'm doing is scraping sideways just widening the bottom looks really good me go against the grain you know this is why I like this knife so much because the belly is so shallow it really allows you to get into the corners of things and just really excels at carving you know if you have a huge knife you know it's just really hard to to work in the these little tight spots to get in the corners all right so this is where I'm at see it's pretty deep I can tell by the the growth rings in here that I'm about halfway through it okay so now I'm going to just go through on the side drill right through till I meet the bottom so I got so far heading in it's almost there all right so I just broke through with everything I'm grinding in here ending up in here so if I get rid of this and I should see a hole the beginnings of so basically I'm going to go towards the side where the holes coming into I'm drill into this corner and then drag the material into the main bowl of the pipe
