okay so something else I need to be addressed on this rucksack are these straps I've carried these since i've had this bag yeah no problem they are a little thin they don't really have too much padding on them so they do cut into my shoulders especially when I'm walking ten miles in one direction type of thing so I want to put some better straps on there that are more comfortable also huge clunky metal hardware I mean wicked heavy so we're going to take that off just a moment we're going to see what the hardware ways all right so has the buckles all metal really strong stuff let's put happy to so just curious here let's see which is way point three so a third of a pound so five ounces five point three ounces just to attach my strap to the bottom my rucksack now my Alice straps just have a loop at the bottom so he's gonna be more comfortable they might be later and it might not be I don't know but one thing I do know is that they are going to be more comfortable and what I am going to do is weigh them against each other and see what is heavier al straps or these Italian rucksack straps scissors time to cut these straps off the rock all right one of those off well my second strap lost focus for one second and I cut on the wrong side of the dr so I've cut the strap off so I had to restate the D ring back on probably put 100 stitches to that okay well careful I'll make any mistakes with your cuts ok so now but I have my straps off I'm going to do is just take all these straps I the house back straps and I have the original straps my way them off each other see which one's a letter i already know i'm going to go see alice pack straps because there are a whole lot more comfortable while i'm just curious i'm going to save any weight doing so so let's see what the original straps way point six on this point seven okay Alice pack straps Oh point seven almost point eight point seven fluctuated appointing once when I picked it up so they are the same the same weight with these have better padding so a little bit more comfortable because these originals have basically no padding yeah this pack is much better okay should be too big of a deal put d-rings

all right now the bottoms okay so i have a loop here so kind of like a lock said loop the run nice okay touch the bottom very easy put this back together nice one else back stripe on okay a second nice done done deal much higher quality straps on this rock now for hiking long distances and the straps can hold 100 pounds on an ALICE pack comfortably I'm going to be running you know 15 to 20 pounds of this rig comfort coming my way now I've added again three ounces with the side lacings so that's it's going to be point2 around there on here difference so even with that extra point to added my rook is add boom right there is that 35 36 so 3.6 pounds so 35 would be three half pounds will be three pounds and 8 ounces so 1.6 added to that about three pounds and nine point six ounces that's with the straps with the lacings on the side it's pretty good so three pounds and nine ounces I have a rough sack that can easily very comfortably carry my hiking kit so I'm going to throw my rig in here and then way it with my hiking gear
