yes mission and survival today would be making some mods to our nesting cup don't go away alright so is the issue with these cups this is the glacier nesting cup phenomenal cups let's write inside your Nalgene or a diet design it's bottle problem is yeah the handle is set up like a pan not a cup you know like a mug it's like this that's your orientation a pan is like this so this is your orientation so it's like a frying pan instead of a mug okay so I'm going to make a quick mod for that today so let's get started okay it's just in a few things there are pliers something to cut the metal if I pop the handles off as my cup piece of paper pencil and a metal coating okay so I'm gonna do here is just trace my cup somebody's hold it still the best I can but not going to get too crazy

okay something like this I'll just go right across here because that was actually the little bracket that I went around okay it's now pretty simple I'm gonna just throw my bracket on there I'm gonna find out how it lines up and it's about this tall felt that one

so this might bracket now I'm gonna just draw what I want me handle to be like so I want to be like a mug so like this still going to go up over put down stop there for second so you'll go down here down across that gives me a basic outline of what I'm looking for they'll be pretty close to this now why am I making this template this is a real-life representation of my cup so now I can take my wire and I can literally bend it at these points right on this template and then just pop it right on my cup this is a real size of the cup this would be the real size of a handle so I can get I'll get three fingers in there no problem okay you just prep a metal okay this first cut it's gonna cut about halfway that's the most I can have for each side of the handle so or they can't do better than that so we'll just do that instead of trying to try to guess and all that just cut it okay let's get bending so first I'm going to do is just straighten out

best I can the Ben that was already there close enough okay it's not too shabby that work no okay so I'm going to just make my first Bend lay it right on my template I want to bend right here let's go ahead the middle right there okay so I want to turn this 90 degrees now it's two ways to do this I can either go on the outside of the pen like I am right now and I have to turn this pot the small part or I can go on the inside of the bend which is right here and bend the outside which is what I'm going to do excited the most life so it's easier okay this is my 90 just going to fit right on my temple like that can I get my handle started now I'm gonna make a bender right here I'll be inside I measure that one more time okay there's my inside right there so I want to go this way so I get to about 90 okay here's my second 90 all right so that's what we got so have to make it Bend here here here and here four more Bend so then I'll have to trim it off let me get going on that and I'll get back to you okay so just make those last two bends some things lined up decently it's good enough I'm just making a quickie handle here now I'm gonna just take my sniffers here and take off this excess let me do it somewhere around here a little bit of overlap we'll see how that goes second always cut more off right

alright says what I got okay so here's what I got let's see how it fits in the cup just come out here a little bit all right it's my compass yes I'm going to just turn a little bit off so I'll fit in quite how I want it obviously it's from pieces coming together so I'll just take it down right here

okay let's pop it in see if it fits a little better

okay I tried to make a few tweaks to it well it's been good now this is the second handle this knocks out let's see how it fits all right so both handles on there this one looks a little bit on this one possibly okay so now I need to bend them both around the cup okay so now all I'm gonna do is and spend the hand a little bit just keep going around it the bottom on the top

not too shabby and trying to get that to match roughly the curve on the cup that's actually a tiny bit to shot so I'm gonna just undo it a little okay one here a little bit more okay let's check it it's close enough for me so the bottom is going to leave very nice against the cup so I'm going to do the same thing to the top slowly bend it over okay this is what I got again let's see how it fits so I'm not enough and here little too sharp here so I'll do that strengthen it over here looking at my daughter in the background okay

close enough for me so now let's put on the cup see how it fits all right so that a factory cup but it'll do the job for sure so that's pretty good pretty happy with that it's now I'm gonna bend the other one mr. project will be done okay here's my second Bend handle see how it fits that's money right there look at that nasty hasn't came out really good that's the one I thought wasn't as good as you as a second one either lift that love it okay so I felt my second one on boom new handles for my nesting cup I mean that's just fine this one probably could be that a little bit more and that's just fine this one's money this one's off a tiny tiny bit not worried about that now did they do the job okay look a lot like my military cups get the cross oh yeah I can drink like a mug instead of holding it like this I can put a couple fingers through there that nice and sturdy done deal love it alright good stuff alright so much in a bottle and this is my finish cup good to go now I can use it like a real cup and not uh mess around with this stuff and actually hold it like a mug good stuff appreciate your views cause me sports see you the next one take care
