been at it for about 40 minutes now I've had full kits finished in 40 minutes so this is a is a kit that's taking a little bit longer and usually sometimes that's gonna happen you have to make sure that you stay with it now try to cut corners just save time try to put out a good piece of quality kit you can use over over again because what you don't want there's a circle spindle you don't want to round this off

go on an octagon on eight sides is eight sides gives you that many more corners and all these edges to grip your rope it's smooth and obviously it's going to be slippery

now this is a little big for what for how I usually go that's all right see if it can make it work all right let's lost a bit of weight still feels a little heavy it is what it is let's go ahead and work on that harm

all right another sopping wet piece of pine pretty simple it's like making it spindle but only doing two sides you know you're making a flat rectangle father is to it this piece is like rotten for most of it not looking good will see you through let's see what happens

now just like before you want to find a spot that seems dry than the rest like right here it seems pretty good so I'm going to take material from the other side so I don't just keep slicing this good stuff off and same thing with the part would you know you want to dig into the heartwood and try to keep some of that SAP put on top of the can okay Tom about fun thick there's a is I'm going to try to get my amber it's somewhat dry dry than the rest of it I mean the rest of it is just absolutely soaked so we'll see what happens

it's raining out pretty good right now I'm not gonna put a tarp up or anything like that because I'm always gonna have a talk right okay so I'm pretty good now I'm going to just take a little piece of leaf just an oak leaf put that in there with outside my ha quote I'm gonna just put a little depression on it so it can hold my strength

gotta hump all over it that way the rain stops at my back I'm just cutting off leaving off the top here

it's obviously wet from being green down I'm gonna do is just I actually measure with my spindle by grilling one even pull it out get it wet you know I have a poncho and a tarp on me but

and we won't always have that with us and we need to make a bow drill kit bringing it out so what the heck let's see if we can make a bow drill fire in the rain with a set that absolutely wet see how it goes I really don't want to show this too much because I don't exposed to the rain that's what I got All Right see what happens oops

actually towards me the more pudding I can see it better and I find a spot where I'm not on a big root

alright

hope it works it's tiny bit think my depression is a little too close to the edge this is really intense so I just move the depression over on some of the back tiny tiny bit screen really good the camera battery's about to die this is intense stuff all right burned in while the set was not happy well I was intense okay someone's working on my notch it's almost done ok so the kick told me want to be a little bit thinner so I obliged it told me by not wearing away hardly any when I was drilling earlier and the powder really has to reach the spindle for you to have good ignition I would have to drop a lot of powder before I know I don't the drop as much alright

I got to tell you guys I'm hurtin I am

really sore and my muscles are like cramping and

craziness

there's by far the hardest blow job but I've had to do I'm just going for the amber now it's my first time going for the Ember I am just beat

let's see if we can we can make a number here please

sorry but I have to move you Oh

you

the camera died I took a couple pic here's my amber got it one of the few seconds of camera left yes nice

whoo I was insane my camera guy right as I was going for my amber I was bombing through like 5 45 seconds later i got the Ember I snapped a couple of quick picks up my phone I'll splice him in the video that's craziness oh yes that's what I'm talking about whoo huh this with mention any survival mushy see you guys in the next one take care
