it's machete survival so we're gonna make a quick fishing kit for my daughter stay tuned okay so I just have a dead branch nose laying on the ground I'm gonna make some cuts you know she has small hands so I'm gonna make her a nice little fishing kit all right so I'm gonna just shake off the bark bevel the edges okay let's have some 15 pound test monofilament I'm gonna just wrap it around

I'm gonna tie it first and then I'm gonna just wrap it around I'm tying a knot in at first because just in case god forbid she get all the way in their line you know she doesn't end up losing the fish she's working on and her line and everything so I'm going to do two half hitches just put over the end and tighten it up all right now I'll just start wrapping like crazy ice I'm gonna just use these little weights stainless steel of course never have her handling wet I put that on the line and then it's a an alligator clip to it okay says my weight and I'm gonna tie okay really simple I'm just going through the eye I'm gonna just go around the cordage I kept my finger that's at that first loop that I made I want to keep core on a bunch of times four or five times I should rolling like five times

okay then I'm gonna do let's go through that loop

okay just like that now I'm gonna pull and tighten it up now if you do it right it creates like a a barrel shape knot around the end so I'll just take my knife and

trim this off I'm gonna take this little piece of monofilament put it in my pocket right I'm not gonna just drop it on the ground okay so now my weight consider my line and if I want to speedily attach other things to my line I can do that too well not really my line it's her line right so this is the beginning of her fishing kit now I need to add a hook of course okay so a quick way to attach a hook that I like to use so my dad showed me just go about a foot or so from the weight just make a loop let's make a Bight and put an overhand knot into it okay so now I have my line and I have a loop tied into it okay all I'm gonna do just take this loop make it really small as you can see just like that I'll put it through the eye of my hook just like that I'm gonna put that loop I created right over my hook it's got a mosquito in my eye so should I have had my hook and loop going through it just gonna put make sure it's lined up and not twisted or anything and I'm just going to put my hook right through the loop real simple stuff just like this just not pull that right over it it's a lock set that's all this just the lock side not not a big deal okay that's what I got fishing kit hook sinker okay so now a little a little above my hook I'm gonna just take one of these little compact bobbers put that in there

you sure it's in there good and tight not gonna come out or anything okay now let's see we got alright so now I've my fishing kit the handle to my bobber hanging underneath that my hook and of course the weight underneath let's give it its first taste of water huh

that's beautiful yeah it is right there yes I have the hook and the weight right next to each other now I'll just lay a piece of cord over that just cover that hookup all right now to work all right

it's all there is to it just snip this off

all right so my daughter has a fishing kit that she can use to fish the top of the water with a bobber now if she ends up liking this I'll modify it again so she can fish the bottom as well this is a mission a survival appreciate your views come see sport see you guys in the next one

take care
