that's yours I was like wow dude I have way back when in 2009 I bought one of Dave's haversacks
and at the 2010 gathering I had his daughter she's an artist had her put his logo on a new be bold yoga before the new logo the old logo by hand she she hand drew it with the fabric dye nice fantastic job
totally smooth that that was well yeah yeah because they didn't have logos on and I had her draw backs getting the tattoos with the logos there and all that stuff what's crazy is that that logo is actually taken from another company called addicted to the outdoors yeah Oh someone else's logo that's why David the Cheetahs logo because they're gonna assume oops I just feel if it was love us now because you can see the sand my plan before this year is up is to design and have a have at least a single batch
everybody loves backpacks to be sweet to me there something like that a big one boys call virgin are you gonna put a bow on it put out the whole kind of heated you're gonna think I'm talking about small or big going I don't know it's only my sleeping bag my -30 bag is the size of my ALICE pack I mean you know when you drop it in the bucket the book it's gone there's nothing left I can't have that I just I can't and my other bags I have Mykelti Oort cloud 110 when I put that in the Red Cloud I put it in it's 30% of the bag Lisa is so pretty you know sizable amount that bag it's 3/4 of the bag so that that's a little bigger and I can get a little foot - camping with that but it's tough my healthy 1/10 that I got from History Channel for a loan they gave the game to us and yeah I took my home today one turns out completely did they redesigned to take away the first I'm sure yeah yeah the newer models they got rid of the gray blacks and all that house but now it's like a neon green yeah yeah he's got pretty well take security lock file files gone I blowed all these you're gonna get rid of scatter ones off we got kids here oh yeah I'd like to get rid of some of those because people trip at night we leave in the fire it's dangerous yeah oh yeah it's happened to me that's not even that's not even conjecture that's absolutely people yeah what's the masses mountains and stuff do the adhirata trail what's up there there's a whole bunch of stuff and what's the mass oh yeah um the Mohawk trails over there we're gonna go I told you about it I don't think so you you meant to maybe we fall together and you're talking about the gathering that that other guys setting up he wants me to teach survival together
oh come on my gallery yeah it's it's next week so it's the next weekend then it's a nice house yeah very soupy Oh bushcraft can't push gonna take out like the path with leave the piles inside yeah at least so be able to walk without tripping in the middle who is he like wrong

build a fire actually nothing sopping wet that'd be fantastic so I'm gonna just heat up some water husband treat I get some all right basically fish hamburger fish she grind it up oh okay fish cakes that yeah no well no no I don't know people call it sometimes I forget what like this culture calls things to me it's just like you take a fish fillet steaming steam it and then it ground it up put this bunch of fat mayonnaise eggs throw it on the sandwich oh it's aa fish sandwich tuna fish oh you think it's the last one a fish sandwich a cold fish sandwich dude come Mora really stops in here Maura come on follow my handle it doesn't even make it to my my elbow I mean King King King King could come on I love Mora but that is gotta be the most worthless hatchet I've ever seen as horrific I bet if you use it to hammer and steaks its gonna go flying or maybe maybe it goes down into the handle I don't know Maura I don't know Yeah right
come on man come on guys come on you can't do anything with that just like the Pathfinder Nemec hatchet it's like 11 or 12 inches the same size it's double bit dude I tried so hard to get people not to buy that because they want to get it for Derek Isis coming home present from Afghanistan some of our friends I'm not gonna know let's take the what about how much money it was 80 bucks hundred about what Africa it was 40 bucks whatever let's take that money and buy him like three or four bushcraft books instead sit down he's just come home from war he's gonna want to sit down next to his fire or have a cup of coffee and read some books to get back to Planet Earth right Jim Cain and all the others like no no no and Mark Hamill and whatever his name is mark whatever not mocking or not Mark Hamill I love Mark Hamill mark yeah mark whatever his name is I didn't I don't know east from New Hampshire guy yeah yeah the xxx outdoors with him anyways
I got outvoted dude Derek use that thing once and text me like dude really nice of you guys blah blah blah blah a year later I'm like ever used it again he's like never do that thing is worthless worthless dude you can't cut anything with that yeah it looks so cool but it's like a trinket little toy it's a toy you know sorry it says I'm no like this I don't know man the toy I'm here you go man yeah that dog is I'm just so handsome huh the Nook what a handsome dog did he drove down to Carolinas to get that huh yeah I didn't realize I want to text them and talk to him stop yeah it's so sad he's other yeah Sarge passed away so he hasn't really been in the mood to talk we sheet X pretty often once I realize that I stopped you know try to have conversations and then now instead we talked about Sarge you know obviously yeah I've gone camping with Sarge a few times down at the Derrick's old taunton campsite I taught my first class is there way back when when I first started in survival my second and third classes were there I was back in 2000 and 2010 maybe that's when I met Joe and Joe ends up being one of my students eventually my class actually no they was that class didn't we mean Dave taught a class together once there just the two of us missed a design class together and teach like 20 guys all right I think that's it for Ross that sounded close uh-huh someone might be hunting with dogs over there I'm not even sure if geese are in season right now or ducks or what
rabbits yeah I know oh I can see him I see I see his hat I can there's a hunter out there somewhere my eyes can see him but the camera can't him Gary what's in season right now do you know something with dogs over there come every weekend every Saturday morning he'd come with his uh truck for the dogs they go the line the dogs are fished the rabbits out he'd get around it yeah right on he's over there somewhere trying to get him some that's target practice wonder if that's Mike I'm gonna ask him to send him a text
just someone gear talk it's just a monkey talk
yeah it was a mic sound like it was huh let's say gear talk we have zebra Billy pot got this from Ray Mears website I don't know 2008 I think December or so 2008 maybe he's a big inspiration of mine let's get some arms isn't it TC guys can't tell I have an eventual sworn take down bucks off cherrywood very good has a buckle bleed have a spare blade over hair like I was saying before
I have US military winter mitts leather on the hands with the trigger finger so you can still shoot canvas the big cuff that thing's a waste of calories that thing weighs like 3 ounces not gonna break anything with that garbage these are really nice these are really nice with these I have two other I use one pair of gloves with them by two others with that system I've got my wart on my etool my world war ii ii tool with the vintage sheath old-school leather sheath this thing has been through a lot with me
[Applause]

planes fly right over my campsite today [Music]
these are red head gloves these gloves are the Bass Pro Shop which is what we have here in masse Bass Pro Shop this is their brand red head at Patriot Stadium all right well the Patriots play one of the call these days Gillette Stadium it was you know Zoe's Foxboro Stadium but yeah so now the parking lot used to just be open but now it's all stores and stuff and there's a Bass Pro Shop there so I picked these up they're waterproof and they're they're really warm they have a they have installations like 40 grams not too much but they're warm I brought these to Vancouver Island with me before alone because they're waterproof I need a waterproof gloves that be warm this is gonna be knows winter when I went there so that's why I bought these for I also bought red head boots that were like 8 or 10 inch I went up my calves quite a bit all leather maybe I don't think they have a Vibram sole maybe amateur all waterproof those were key
they're like moldy on the outside was so wet in Vancouver Island but my feet never got wet and those even when I walked through streams and rivers and stuff and if it was deeper than deeper than my boots and I just took them off this is something my mom bought me a year before she passed away it's my North Face sweater that she bought me to bring she bought for me to bring to Bangkok to Vancouver Island to film alone I needed a nice sweatshirt with a hood and actually this pocket here was a very special pocket the breast pocket the heart pocket in it I kept my fellow rod so I only had nine pieces of kit with me while I was there we're allowed 10 but my Bibby for my sleeping bag counted as a piece imagine so to make sure that I didn't lose my phone I know Joe did Joe Robinette he was like crushed he literally had to go home she lost his phone rod and I feel for him that would be horrific and in that environment it was it was nuts over there so much rain rain twice every day I kept my fella rod next to my heart literally ain't never left if I used it put it back in that's it slept with it everything he never never ever left my heart I think I gave that to you Malcolm didn't I your your your your Mitch Mitchell Museum don't you have a bunch of my stuff huh oh my god yeah my dad made me trading cards like cards of me from like pictures of me in the woods when I came back from a loan for the for the whatever the big release party the no yeah the first episode that's funny I forgot about that thank you for that Dad I don't think I even have any of those left I think I gave them all away my trading card this is the inside of those those mitts see fits with the shooting shooting finger and all that stuff whoa and then I have will gloves as well with fingers I have fingerless ones too that I wear a lot
tuna sandwiches tuna fish whatever they call it these days lunch I've got a stainless steel mug this is the NATO military cup I believe very good it's bigger than the US GI ones or the the clones of the u.s. GI ones - which is the the Keith titanium cups yeah Keith makes those and you know it's a very popular piece I have a couple of them I got two of them I think they have heavy covers logo on them I'm pretty sure anyone can get the Louisville who it is I could have Keith put my logo on on their stuff because they asked me to but anyways um it's five a little blanket that's gonna go on one of those logs in a minute
second cup odds and ends this is actually my hiking stove and I got my hiking stove with me I just wanted to make a quick cup of tea or something without making a fire I can have water like reaching boil within a couple of minutes and then Equinox tarp this is not the ultralight one this is a thicker one I figured what they call it I always keep that in there my native survival baseball hat and my Rainier is wilderness axe he designed my grandpa's brock's
epic axe I think that's pretty much it might be some more stuff kind of a rig breakdown real quick some paracord in here to make tripods and stuff first aid kid never go to the woods without a first aid kit that's no joke when I also purchase apprentice I cut off the front of my thumb like took the piece off the bench one of my bosses did actually gave it to me that was bad that was a bad day cut through two pairs of gloves plastic and two caught in pairs I mean my knifes were like deadly deadly shop bad day anyway some I have the antibacterial or anti whatever whatever it is so you don't get infections what do they call it antibiotic ointment see this stuff right here bacitracin get it keep it in your bag just saved my thumb man I dressed it myself I put that on there I I think I bought it on the on the way home or no I think the assistant manager of the store went to the she gave that to me I think she might have gave that to me from the aisle the store I was working at anyways yeah that stopped my thumb from from going south I kept it on there and I changed it twice a day changed my dressing twice a day put new bacitracin on it so back in this little kit can deal with some serious problems get some fishing line in there to hang up the cans my headlamp stay a battery headlamp is a th10 by thrunite it's like a spotlight in your head and there's my newest spoon and Aiko roasts birchbark co-hosts on the top near the what I could call pommel right on I get some nice with me neither survival Gentoo things like that right on that's KITT who else wants to show some KITT there you go man cameras yours go for it do a full whatever you want to show so this is this is something everyone is interested in this is my friend mm-hmm made some mods to it I wanted to add a large front pocket because it comes with these little side hand warmer pockets they're pretty deep but I always want like like a normal hoodie so I sewed that on I actually bought one of the scarfs so I could have mastered fabric and then I cut the scarf up on the inside it has a liner 500 line to block the wind I also added a because it was a came with like a v-neck and I added a little gusset to keep the wind out and when you put a scarf on with this on it really keeps the warmth in so I had a little piece extra they I didn't know what to do with it so I added it to the back as a I notice the back I always get cold in the back so I would add that to the back well there's another piece do i I made a little butt seat in the back a little thicker so I would wear better so yeah that's his asking about this thing and it's been fully modified so what I do when I find to be better but overall it's a really nice world well I've had this for four years I wear it all time and it works well show up one more thing this is simply getting on the Amazon but it's by a will though made in Sweden it's like cutting board uses a bowl it's their deep plate so I can still use it as a bowl turn it upside down and use as a cutting board and you can have it as a plate so really handy so I vote ahead and woodsman to the bag but I'll keep all my natural tenders in there bridge fall old man's beard keep a bunch of a bunch of pine sap and a bird's nest of dried grass so stuff I just click in the woods that's absolutely cool try that out and that'll take a spot [Applause]
your thing they're in competition inside my puzzles box carry a little fire kit I have a Bible a shopping rod some twine extra Ferro rod these really cool these things the whole batteries so Newton new headlamp I got th twenty pretty bike bright I think it's like 600 lumens well lost last and not least guerrilla tape [Applause]
I store all that inside my pasta spot Donald stand is right there that's on Donald's camp in my time I came here that he'd keep the guys are here yeah he's like I can't stand now because you're in that spot this has always been Donald's been the trail cam there I haven't even noticed if I paid him no no mind at all I don't care if he has pictures of me peeing in front of it who cares
I originally thought it was yours because it was like nobody wants to see see me pooping in front yeah pictures of me poopy not even my wife you know man I mean that's a joke that Dave said once I always liked
probably number six but hunter ate through the trees mm-hmm got a bumper crop of rabbits this year that's for sure
oh yeah we stopped my way they're gonna rabbits up the wazoo nice be ashame picked up a rabbit we have two weeks ago on the trail she's dead I'm just gonna go you guys released that first part of it like today the last night she lost look see my my editor was giving me all kinds of problems
she took me I started at 8 in the morning trying to get that to encode to mp4 so I could release it I don't know what time that I finally posted 6 o'clock or something was a million for cloud I know what it was it was a night time though it was totally it was after the time whatever time almost took me all day all day that's all I did you know me least on Fridays now yeah I like to release videos on Friday I mean no particular reason I suppose well the ton of videos start away yeah videos yeah need to be edited you know like game channel but I got like 50 videos control thanks for the wood Gary turn to it it's a dead sassafras here yeah we do there's a rogue camp over there some random person was saying something about yeah yeah he cut down some big sassafras big Assessor for us I think I've ever seen
I just it's just laying there like his music firewood or something I don't know look that goes green really I don't think I don't think yes it is of such a waste exactly I don't think he knows I think he's still new to bushcraft I'm glad he's getting up there or she but I'm not too happy with how they treated the forest over there yeah they didn't treat the resources too well here dog Bono's their geese those are dogs are they thought yes I'm saying [Applause]
[Applause]
make it some macaroni cheese I'm gonna give those fine folks a better view Malcolm yep in a rocker on top on the side in sting to go forward yeah this office here having sharpen this knife in months so what it's about it's about edge control having a light touch by touch real light make them super delicate just a personal choice I want to make it thick or not seeing is everything wet I don't want it too thin like that they look great but then they burn up so fast like flash tinder not on the fire I don't want to look nice I want the burn nice two different things you go straight out then you won't break them off if I go straight up I'm gonna rip them right off it's just so delicate if you crank them up at all don't break little feather stick action it's not like a tricky like huh what do you think of the new living room setup Gary very nice not too bad huh not putting on the spot with the camera or anything I just mean seriously like yeah not too bad for everybody yep that's the idea kind of Kevin you gotta get every people will see a mix I have no idea we're gonna have to like 5th Avenue people got like the GALT that way yeah I don't know maybe a dozen people I'm not sure something like that Gabriel about it's me yes it's a nikon coolpix waterproof shockproof freezing proof I broke told me cameras I said I'll buy a porno sports cameras it's not it's still the best spots yeah dummy well so far I've been stuck in the rain with it might as well Penn State avataq brand camera hi Bonnie with me it comes back broken so just this one is always good there's a new version out that I want to get a pretty good chance I've seen some of your videos that's a good stuff rocks I just keep a little bit of Brook birchbark in my rock yeah it's an amazing birch bark in Hampshire
I have big sheets of it from New Hampshire
it's like quarter its thick brought some back from Maine like that the birch tree wants to win this big around that had blown over a time harvested several sheets of bark off that stuff
that's cool took it for the intention of different types of projects yeah you know someday exactly it's a good thing about it's not gonna go bad it's in Shelton yeah probable probable probable uh not working is percentage probably have a one in four chance of that working three and four chance and it failed if it really mattered I'd make like a whole lot more than that this way yeah I see
say you're after races it's always nice when it works [Applause]
yeah that's not they coming towards me like that - problem doing a fire safety class here plenty of water around I should be okay stop drop and roll yeah [Music]
if you got two bagels - hundreds all the dogs is coming over here you listen to my backed up with dog there's the first fire bushcraft can't buildings sure yeah people freaked out like it's like the whole show use the shells the cooking vessel yep yeah actually if I remember right in that episode she brain went above and beyond he even went and found a piece of a downed tree supposedly that was all staged obviously like when you're filming you just you know but I used that like when I was younger you know I was working on stuff and reading up over a and watch them right I used to gather my course up some one of these fallen trees he's spot on and yeah so he then takes any aid makes some stone tools bust out some tools and he makes a bow drill kit with stone implements and then uses moss to cook an egg puts it on top of his fire and he pokes it I'm pretty sure it's what happens it's been a while he pokes it he says so you know you don't get a go in your faces there you don't have an embarrassing explosion or something he calls it a little joke whatever but the dude like made a bow drill
stone tools and he used his uh his bootlace for the rope he's thinking for the Rope like pulls it off and he's like I think I I reckon that's why we have you know laced-up shoes as off letting me like a joke of it you know but what a great episode he was young too of tracks
series like ten episodes of season that's like short dude six minutes five minutes long gathering such a gift they'll give out all the little ears like episodes and stuff it series all the tracks on one dish whole season so I'm looking up for me I have a whole mess of them but none of it's an HD it's all okay well because it was filmed create G yeah it's all like 240 and 360 yeah
take your right in front of the camera man the camera man it's quiet - he just stands there filming the whole time he didn't even talk to us very common in the series - dogs they add up stuffing in the neighborhood look at the clam inside yeah yeah take everybody sassy brassy eh yeah huh 20 bucks just show the camera show some right now for 20 bucks what's made out of polyester ISM Pendleton hundred percent virgin wool what that's it
where'd you get that for 20 bucks we're still at a thrift store there you go show that to the camera guys look at this Malcolm got a Pendleton will throw or blanket forgot that sighs sure yeah I think it's just wrong yeah that's epic do twenty bucks hundred percent virgin wolf sazon nobody never knows what they'll have that on there is it there it is BAM it matches my similar that's why that's why I see them I'm like oh looks like my mic I hope that it I'm like oh it's wool yeah I've seen the toggles I go play you run at the simple thank you very much no it's just like my ground blanket I say bringing to set up it yeah extra layer yes
let me a cape on everybody every just right now I've got instantly warm yeah some guy told me the other day I seen a bum using all those look at abuse useless its money like extra lair sit on if we sit around the fire with it yeah and you put it on are you just on the ground with it of course that's one thing I really wanted to bring with me to Vancouver Island was my wool blanket but that was a no-go it wasn't even on the list the new guys yeah I have him I feel bad but I haven't watched anything after I wash my 10 episodes I haven't watched season 2 3 I'll be on for now I wouldn't even know Rayleigh still fives already been out - I've been asked of several times blood production what do I want to come back but I said no go there - all for show did they do the all-star show it always good stand with it was on him oh really I didn't watch it samovar he was born for a while and he kind of like said something mother stop yeah I was I was asked if I want to be on that but I said no yeah I was that was that's enough been there done that and we'll just bring up bring up thoughts of my mom anyways it took me like almost a year to be able to get back to the woods again after she passed away yeah first Tiger would mean you would came back just had a hard time to Tommy after she passed away in December I couldn't go to the woods anymore yeah yeah I just I wouldn't do anything I get I get the camp but sit down and I just would be lost in thought I know these are enjoy anything yeah where's my bed yeah first time I went out with Sophie with you since long time next time yes that's cool of course your mother probably won't be too happy about CLM Holmes might have to leave it yeah final disco huh that's very cool thanks for doing that that worked out well gonna have the lager too small so you double them up wow that's worth cutting those little ones anyways probably take me the same time to cut a single round than it did to cut all of them this stuff is so much I don't I almost don't get sugar at all any more sugar it's up Vennela honeybush give that the garrets just the smell sweet I don't have to put any sugar in it because it just has enough effervescence of sweetness what other one gave me that was really good I've got going pretty good
you're gonna ride it earlier on the other side you get a rabbit when you're over there nice yeah I kicked one up over that a couple weeks ago right on the pass on the other side of the large one who's gonna up that large access road on this side of it right when I got into the woods here rabbit so that's pretty much where you guys were on an access road right right on well good luck man yep yep have a good day see you later
Keith keeps titanium one dude Keith contacted me so a company that contacted heavy cover and asked me to choose any of their products and they put my logo on on on anything they make for me which is what they did with heavy cover yeah except you know he kind of pretend pretend it's like your stuff crash but I can I can literally I can get a heckler the heavy I can get the cute exact system that he did with my local ones like literally be the exact same just there's no difference he might leave me was dead I'm not gonna do that like the heavy cover canteen set up especially the titanium so and and he got real upset I guess when when I got mentioned or whatever because you know the company titanium Kia they contacted me asked me to choose anything that they produce and don't put my logo longer one things that they produce is the military canteen kit and all the Attic which heavy clever has his logo on but he doesn't call it would keep canteen you know heavy little diversion addition whatever he just calls with a heavy cover canteen but it's actually the Keith canteen with his local one two totally good thanks it's kind of like when I saw it I just sold my last two this week I had Malcolm the hidden woodsman's haversack made his survival edition I had my logo on it I had custom colors on it stuff like that but I said needed survival edition hey Tin Woodsman haversack two different things so Eddie power didn't invent the Jeep that's just his version of it right and so I can get my version of Keith's stuff if I want I'm thinking about it but I think I kind of want stainless steel instead because just a whole lot cheaper I mean that I I don't know man unless maybe I get like a titanium pan or something but I can get my logo put on anything by them I'm thinking about it you know I told I told the guy I'd consider it and he gave me a link a direct link to his catalog and it's incredible stuff they made frying pans canteen yeah right now lost everything in the world motive to do skillet that's cripple the ceramic coating in it now they've got it on mass drop I think the basic one is 26 99 and I could get at $8 for the ceramic coating on it nice I looked on Amazon exactly two titanium skillet yeah he got real upset I didn't mean to blow his spot up and make people realize that they can just buy it without his logo yeah yeah he doesn't have the market cornered like you know I didn't mean to upset him I mean it's just true what did you do I'm sorry the truth is that's what I got it was on a post somewhere and somebody had a post and I just said like that's a nice Keith canteen man right on or whatever and it was like what do you mean no it's a heavy cover you got all he got all bent out of shape of course yeah that's a key part I didn't know that I thought I thought he invented it when I first like I'm sorry yeah they were selling them on eBay that that's what he's claiming yeah but I tell I'm just telling you that I can absolutely have that canteen kit on my website within two months with my logo on it called the NIDA survival titanium canteen kit everyone call it and it's really the same exact item from the same company hey if that's the case I've been looking for I've been looking for hit with a Fenian yeah you know I'm not gonna do it no why would I do that I would make a pot though I'm not gonna cause drama off for no reason I'd come up with a yeah I'm thinking about it but it's just so expensive I don't know if I want well what kind of disco death they offering you like big dollars or is it just like you don't count bucks off no no it's it's like I'd be a deal with like a wholesale they did I tried to find a stainless steel but it's just yeah seamless - it's hard to find I'm hoping I can find something because I'd rather do stainless steel and titanium I really really would there's the zebra part ray mears special I only learned about it because of him so always be a Rain Man special to me a spoke I think they made in India yeah good pot there's like three different sizes I think that's the smallest one in 10 centimeters maybe 12 centimeters have a spot of brew [Music]
