this is mitch native survival it's process to make ones all right so I'm at a family park so you're going to have kids playing in the background and things like that but the trees in this park by predominantly oak so there's tons of acorns on the ground and as you see some of us are gathering them up ah what do we have here this little cash a there's a money trapping spot put a nice deadfall right in front even see their track right there recently gone in alright so literally on the ground there's just tons and tons of acorns and you know as the wind blows they just drop all around you you know they're just randomly fall here and there is a good one no and there's an acorn and another one and you can tell me that literally just falling all around me so talk about fresh you know talk about available thank you thank you mr. tree dropping all these eight clones right at my feet right when I'm here so I'm gonna gather some of these up already have a couple now get back with you haha

that one actually hit me now he's playing games I love it I love it alright so after just a couple minutes of gathering got a good amount here should be able to do something with that so usually way it works is the size of the cap in ratio compared to the overall nut is how much tannin or tannic acid is inside the meat so basically a smaller the cap the less bitter the nut so these are the acorns that I've been gathering couples love their caps on it's a very good ratio I've seen the cap all the way down here with us almost nothing exposed of the nut nice and tacked on right here just pull out the bottom how's the bottom of the Acorn show they easily split apart beautiful

ah sometimes and the brown ones you find a grub in them excellent for fishing put them back in this hole close it up and I'll put it back in the ground alright so i have a good little mountain here

good size ball okay so numerous ways I can crush these up let's put them on another stone alright pretty simple matches it up another way would be to crush it on the stone

a third way will be to crush it inside this bowl

I've been asked how I made this bowl quite a few times and all it is is a burl from a pine tree this is where the branch was growing out this was where the tree was growing the trunk and I burned it out put a fire in here burned it right down I scraped it all out and then I smooth it with rocks very simple you just lightly break them up mash them up all right so I'm coming along got a good amount here this stuff smells absolutely magical smells very sweet almost like um like honey absolutely amazing oh yeah as you go to mountain there

so I'm making some progress and I still have some more acorns I mean handfuls of acorns that I haven't even cracked open these are all the ones that i have d shelled so far Oh
