Oh

its mission in survival today we have a first harvest and consolidation stay tuned I always leave my extra containers hanging out in the woods which makes it easier all right this one's a good half gallon this one still has a little ice in it pull off as much as a SAP as I can I want to be very careful of spilling spilling is absolutely unacceptable when you collect a beautiful resource like this by the drop you take care of it drop by drop back on the tree onto the next one another one doing very well just under half a gallon here yeah ever so carefully

so those two trees gave us just shy of our first gal all the good one temp is dropping it's definitely getting cold absolutely blow freezing now so I'm going to start finding a lot of ice I'm not containers all right another one and this close felt really just won't go away we got into the teens now 18 degrees so my sap is only running a couple hours during the day when the Sun it's a trees up gets everything above freezing but we're still running low thirties during the day and right now the sun's still up hasn't even gone down yet but it's it's getting down below the trees now and we're already at 18 degrees when we're just at 34 degrees and I walked out here you've only been on it for an hour and a half so lost you know 12 13 degrees in the last power and the trees really prefer to be above freezing during the day so you know mid 30s 34 35 36 degrees and up during the day and at night they prefer freezing so it's just barely conducive for the trees to be running sap so our season here is really it's really kind of dragging along it's getting a very slow start so winter is having a hard time letting go of its grasp okay so it's only been a few days but already I have one full gallon to full gowns and a quarter of a gallon so like I said it's been really cold so the assassin running pretty slow but we've still got enough time in the last 3-4 days that it has been running off and on to be able to get two and a quarter gallons well thanks for joining me today for the first harvest of the season and the Northeast appreciate your views comedysportz you in the next one take care
