hey it's a mission a survival so I'm going to be waxing a canvas tarp stay tuned so I'm just gonna cut these down so they melt faster send them in this pan start melting them up does it take long takes a few minutes this is a nine by twelve tart so basically what I'm trying to do is just get a nice even coat I'm going slightly over the areas but I've already done mark my spot keep working my way over I can feel where I've been where I haven't been because it's kind of tacky where I've been and it still feels like smooth clean cloth right I need to do still so if the careful of getting the molten wax on your hands that will burn you now you want to make sure that you get some special attention to any tiles that you have any seams things like that make sure you put a good coating on them you can feel when it starts cooling down because it goes on really quick at first when it's still warm it's still really hot really molten and then once the wax cools down you can feel that the brush kind of drags you can feel it getting tacky so you go a few more times after that just to kind of really smear it in as it's turning into paste this fun job to do you can get it done pretty quick you just want to put a nice even veneer make sure you really overlapping your sections get your seams getting your tie outs want to get your edges really well won't be long now just working on the shrimp in the bottom okay so I apologize for the noise but the next step is to heat the top up so the excess wax on top can melt into it it'll be nice and smooth I want to do that with a hairdryer you can see how it gets like a wet look to it as you go down as a wax is totally soaked in by the fibers

all right

so this whole side is done feels like cloth again doesn't have that tackiness so this is good to go now I'm gonna go to the other side finish it up alright so the top it's finished just like cloth feels really nice it's good to go I'm gonna let it hang overnight tomorrow throw a little rough sack let's good we go there's units uh Bob thanks for joining today as we wax on our campus talk see in the next one take care
