hey this is Michigan survival I don't take a standard large Alice pack and improve with some modifications stay tuned

okay so I've had this old Alice pack for years and years probably six seven eight years something like that definitely old-school and I like the kind of dark old-school faded look it has things like that but uh well really prompted me to kind of change this thing around a little bit is that the waterproofing on the inside got like rubbery layers gone just going gone through the decades so I've had this thing leak on me a bat like it rained and went right in my truck like almost ruined almost ruined the Rainman spoke I had actually anyways so I sprayed with silicon Yatta Yatta since then all that stuff but uh I kind of got interested in modifying an ALICE pack recently so what I think I'm going to do is use this for parts towards something else towards a new path so this is one whole pack that I can use you know cut pockets off of it put it on another bag or actual things like that so I went ahead and picked up a brand new Alice pack for like eighteen bucks on eBay

I mean you know I can't go that thing's just pristine so I'm gonna use this

that's my new Alice bag and I'm gonna use the other bags as parts I also went ahead and trade it for this one too this one's already missing pocket because they got it for my buddy Malcolm and he took it off because he was messing around with that you know he wanted to learn how they made their pockets and stuff cuz I cuz he makes gear you know it makes really awesome gear so that's Malcolm about the hidden woods no so he took this pocket off to kind of mess around and get ideas for his own pockets and stuff like that you know so yeah it's already kind of missing stuff so I think this is gonna be a good one to kind of cut up and take pieces from and all of that I'm gonna take this back and mod it out and modify it I'm Jack it out make a super elves back

just round it off the part that makes contact with me I'm gonna test it out and see if flaring out the bottom is enough and it's gonna sit on my hips better but all of these bags that it is so simple so easy to modify so easy to work on

all right so now it's wide enough I probably made it about a good half inch to inch wire each side bounce wide enough to make it around my side right here

and I feel so much better and this is something I wanted to modify for years I just some reason never did it I don't know why so yeah super easy nothing ever can't fix
