all right so uh everyone's heading off to bed I am as well me Dana Micah stayed up madly talking hanging out by the fire fires right here for a load of datas making sure my dishes are done and cleaning everything's good I'm gonna heat up some water and put hot water inside my canteen so drink some hot water and put some hot water inside of it so I can put hot water inside my my sleeping bag with me stop my water from freezing overnight and it's warm inside my bag too I keep it inside a plastic bag but my canteen in the bag just in case it weeps anything like that so you know I have things around camp you know like my spoon and my food and everything else and I don't just leave it laying around I clean it up put it back inside my rucksack I button everything else up for the night I'm my wool blanket right there needs to come to my my bed with me and everything else so I don't just like run off to bed I have a couple tasks to do I have to make sure things are organized and where they should be and I'm probably going to grab some hot embers and some firewood and bring that into my wiki with me that's very easily I just have a canteen of water here I just filled up one canteens were put inside my Billy pot selling them one off at least that amount I'm not done yet cuz out fill up my canteen for the night I also want to drink one cup full of hot liquid so in addition to that I'm also gonna warm up one cup worth with water don't any charley horses or anything in the night not dehydrated put that in there

okay that's almost a full Billy can worth

tonight zebra pot I could hang it and lots of options I'm gonna just put it right in the fire right in the embers this fire is screaming hot right there right in the middle just like that you know done not even gonna hanging up Park hook kind of stuff nothing like that ready to go now I'm also gonna get my cup and everything ready so when that water's ready I'm not boiling it just getting a hot too hot to drink barely too hot to drink [Applause]

[Applause]

it's very hot hit my stomach really hard it's beautiful

feel the burn on my chest slow down that's good I really like hyper hydrate with really hot water for a little bit in winter makes a huge difference okay so I just cleaned out my fire pit there's a piece of pine firewood I wasn't here from last time all this stuff is that pine is good so I'm gonna use my shovel out there just pick up embers and stuff and just drop it on here all right stop it warming here okay so to that we had some of the stuff that Shane split I don't want to do too big this pine is actually pretty nice swap this out stick it's actually getting warm in here make a couple curls just gonna pack them up doing fine just a couple curls I'm just making some shavings fine stuff that's kind of dry in the middle it's already accelerating

alright I'm gonna just let this work it's magic and I'm gonna go get what I need keep my trouble here I'll get what I need to my bed which is like my tarp to put underneath me I couldn't find my poncho so I just need to put my tarp underneath me and then put my blanket on top of that and then I'll be good to go because there's like it's like wet in here just light out there when I literally look when I put my weight down water pulls under my foot look at this that's about to ignite so you might miss it but right right there what's this do that let's I'm gonna be sleeping in put my top down first yeah that's pretty close so I'm gonna grab my tarp put it right here then I can put my will blanket on top of it then I'll have a nice dry clean workspace bring my my bag in here my rucksack and all that and get out my sleeping bag and get it all ready to go and all that Ida pack it up outside of it's busy unfortunately as you like the packet that's baby if I can just for this perfect situation just put it right out already its Biddy but it wouldn't pack up easy that way so I'm gonna just blow us into flame right here so now all those embers at the bottom are super charged and hot from the fire out there I laid them on cold wet rocks and stuff in here but it's gonna dry itself out and build so I'm gonna just let it do its thing and go grab my kit and stuff if I have to blow on it again I will but right now that's all that's really good

those numbers are getting really hot right there so this is definitely a good thing good things are happening put this log right over the heat this little charred piece right next to it that's gonna help trap the radiation from the heat inside there and give it a little home to live in and just create a little spot to be hot right in the middle of it you can see see that right inside all right I'm gonna get my stuff I'll go south for me is my water nice and warm that feels great [Applause]

[Music]

you still have all the rope and everything with it so I try to put that up all the way up back [Applause]

yes and if a number lands on that it's gonna burn a hole through it and ruin my top so I obviously don't want that to happen so I need to get my blanket on this thing as soon as possible a survival blanket divorce like that design

please

so just make sure it stuffed under this is my fire good stuff okay so obviously my sleeping bag it's gonna melt with embers that's why I designed this will blank it to be a bivy it's gonna open on that side right now I'm gonna sleep um center center seam Center zip so to do that I need to have this be in the middle now that it's laid out let me put that in the middle so we'll match where my zipper is on my sleeping bag so I get this ready for my sleeping bag open up my wool bitty I'm gonna be like you know be alright I'm gonna be very one okay here's my sleeping bag I don't know man it's it's like 36 degrees or something else I'm like sweating right now pretty warm out I'm gonna need I'm gonna be smoking hot hey Curtis there's the sound of it know me I've walked it up like crazy but it's so warm tonight and a fire hidden let the fire go out like that sound screaming hot I mean I think we believe a hot it isn't here it's just crazy pop actually being like shorts and a t-shirt right now

little little shelter work just for the fire going it's a very wet environment there's Billy will make me warmer they will but you got bad dry I'd rather have it unzips pathway let this will be dry regulate my feet that way so no I'm not even let my fire colo I'm like I'm serious man

who I'm like seriously cooking right now [Applause]

once again Seidel I'll kick it all down make it real real real tight this is the important part

[Applause]

doing the hood making sure that's that's it here put this in the hood you know like to do is snap just a couple snaps to do like top-1 first snap and like the bottom snap snap the rest so at least everything stays together at the top and bottom okay and then of course I had my little bitty I'll protect it from embers [Applause]

right on okay yeah seriously thing with my fire died down it's like screaming hot in here it's my pillow I like sleeping with a pillow I don't I don't not have a pillow at home you know sleeping on my bed without a pillow is just miserable at home certainly bring a pillow with me just a little pillow you know it's like supposed to be for my couch or something it's a little a little couch pillow you guys see that it's a little couch cool means all the difference in the world so all I need it's actually the perfect size for my city bag the perfect size exactly what I need for my bag nothing more nothing less i abused pillows half that size in my sleeping bag and it's it's too small my head ends up missing it and I end up sleeping on the ground using my arm as a pillow and you know that's not fun at all

it's very uncomfortable but having that protected for members but having having a pillow that's the same width as my bag there's just like money all day man it doesn't go anywhere it's perfect okay so I'm gonna just clean up my spot a little bit

I have some stuff that I took out of my my bag my mitts and stuff to get to get to my sleeping bag at the bottom is my kit for a second that's it it's Dave would say all and all done okay so before a little bed having this big bag make sure it's nice and tight I miss this is hot to the touch that's we'll just warm to the touch really nice just nice and tight seal this up it seals for real it's gonna go inside misses a bag keep it here for now I've tissues or call paper fun to eat it got my knife need a survival knife my phone my anchor battery my phone charger so I'm gonna charge my phone right now I've got my New Testament I'm gonna read that my shovels right here if I need it my firewood definitely not gonna use it's just it's hot in here got my pellet gun back there I have my change of socks my hat and my fingerless gloves I'll be for the morning so I can just pop them on while I'm still in my sleeping bag yeah so here I am my wiki and I look you up it's a nice shelter it needs needs a lot of maintenance I haven't done anything to it almost a year as crazy as that sounds and yeah my bed's all set good to go and waterproof carpenter Neath me and I have the baby to protect from embers and my sleeping bag has a baby inside this I'm about you know my wolf it protects remembers yeah I'm gonna just get out of all these crazy warm clothes and crash out as you throw my clothes in my rucksack use your my rucksack is also within reach I feel like right back here but I don't have it like that today I have it on the other side of the wickiup way over there so whatever I might modify that fur go to bed this is the stuff you think of before you go to bed kind of just wonder about things you know usually I would just put my pants or whatever right next to me like whatever but the ground is so wet today I have to think differently so anyways well I'm new I'm gonna turn in it's late it's like 3:30 in the morning takes a while to build a bed to get set up to go to sleep but I like to wait until it's time for me to go to sleep to make my bed rather than have this sitting out all day just accumulating moisture and if it happened to rain or whatever earlier this would have got wet inside here maybe I don't know all these factors can possibly happen so I like to keep everything buttoned up until I'm ready to use it so especially when I was sleeping on the ground and not in a tent because I'm slaying in the dirt in this wickiup so I haven't made any mats or anything for and that's that's what natus would do they would use mats they would take like a reed mats or bark mats on their region they'd weave them together and they would make a floor out of it

then they put their hides over that and so on

so I don't have a mat underneath me so that's why I had to kind of make one out of my tarp and all that stuff get me up off the wet ground all right I'm gonna get undressed I'm gonna go to bed I'm exhausted it's super late we were up talking until like three o'clock or whatever and you know it takes a while to set up my bed so I'll see you guys in the morning later
