hey guys welcome to ta outdoors thanks very much clicking on the video I'm on my way to the new bushcraft camp that's already there so I have to go and walk the dog this morning last time we were here was the last video you guys saw where we just showed you the site and we're hoping to do a bit more today anyway it's a lovely day is spring it's really really warm and this is new geez look dad has stolen the camp why have you been doing dad she's got a fire he said this is ridiculous let mccoy's bill he's built all this table little top roof this is the spices firewood down there he started on the wall over here another wall over there were you that is taken over my camp dominating it the fire pit is different as well yeah laid out look at this right dad explain yourself why have you have you done work old school work it's work a bit hard clapping of elbow grease never hurt anybody
I've got absolutely soaked one afternoon coming in if I couldn't stop I just started rated I mean you probably saw the first bit we were actually honest weren't slash-and-burn but it was definitely slashed and stuff down a clearing it but what I wanted to do guys is make a nice camp area an open area that we can use maybe for someone like photos and stuff a lot and pictures and film and stuff like a Z I can't leave I'm actually dug all the backdrop here I'll dragged all the Timbers across here so that when we're filming you were seeing when we do the fills up there you can actually get a wide-angle shot yeah of the hold area or five very looking at once if you've got the steel plate in the bottom on top of that I've got that you see the metal plate I've got I've dug out some rocks around some rocks actually lumps of concrete I think they are I'll kind of grill up so that stuff doesn't fall over - the first time we came it all fell open and yeah everything there yeah guys have you spotted the deliberate mistake yes right that's all these aren't stupid up to ask stupid laughter rainstorms you come and go why the woods all wet no no no you bring a bit of dry wood with you like this I bought their dry wood get it started there's hot enough it'll draw all the other stuff out so the seating arrangement here this is all I remember from last time as we did this it's an amphitheater and you just take it home I've got a load more out yeah that one's ever seen the appeal because I thought it stood for photographing against and these are all drawn out now and then I've got this puppy which was not easy for an old boy of coming up 66 to lug probably 100 kilos of our guest prime oak tree I wanted to make a cooking area with forever lasting putting stuff down and things fall over where's this and where's that it's on the ground you keep your knock it with your feet you kick it over this away is so I've got a superb table here so I think I could probably put an eBay and sell if I'm varnish didn't stain it but that's a good work top for us I recognize this that's the best that that and the seats are the only thing I recognise yeah yeah more that the pot hanger I couldn't carry this there's no working karat that was way over in the trees and the bushes here and down here I've got one of the blocks
he's already grooved out I've been chopping on this one so that's my chopping block
I've got my own slasher my casting slash it'll clear as I'll go class me the rest of this side is a night move of what five six foot yeah I bet you guy come on finding your way in Mike I know is any other mess yeah about three weeks I like this area here look we do photography guys as well I really like this Moss area here Mike and use that for photograph and stuff again noise axes and I found this really nice old piece of wood I mean look if that was if that was in a shop somewhere people pay good money for that but I figure that's a nice backdrop so this is sort of photo area this is a chopping area so what I've done over here is I built from my tour ideas I pinched the idea that rights here less together with fishing line now that called Stephanie parachute called fishing line there which I do have a really plentiful supply of that's much support but crossmembers in I look forward triangle fries are made it a triangular table there lashed it in then I've put all the old dead wood there and then digging around looking for stuff I found so far it's a flat would ideal camera bags hot in here flat kick the don't spill don't fall over but the phd resistance as French actually goes is this piece of tarp that I found and I had to get like Rambo in the film first blood when he's just going to cover yourself he slashes his piece up I was slashing and cutting with this really joy to actually trying to get a triangular shape tied it up there so it matches here but clever old boys put a slope on it so the rain runs down the back doesn't you know grip onto my firewood store which I'm gradually going to build up here and hopefully it just keeps it a little bit dry I have here my bushcraft copy look at this looks like a bit of my work that you've said this fishing line here I've got my coat hook so I can get stuff off the ground no ticks for me hopefully in the next set I'll obviously put more of these hooks around I quite like the idea of having stuff off the ground there of course the other thing stupid old guys do is leftover bits of metal I find pieces of metal like this cut it into shape like that we have been using a blowing stick excuse me this has to be the easiest way to get a fire going them and note the dry wood I brought with me we chopped that up later just praveen your knapsack it's just a back-up plan guys always a back-up plan guys I'm no bushcrafter to me bushcraft all or new and never had bushcraft in my generation we just went out in the outdoors or went camping and loaded you all the guys of my generation think hang on where we did all that but without all that stuff we just went camping but stuff like this you just going to make life easier on you you want to get in the outdoors you want a fire going quickly it's the same principle as a bush crafters but you know look will rule in the outdoors together we're all in it together it's not like it's something special I'm just lighting it with a lighter some paper add some dry wood I brought with me in my knapsack
Oh two things at once it's become for me okay over here I've built a little wall so I started building using all this old dead sapling here build a bit of a panel wall here again
look it's not there to keep wildebeest out or zebras or something like that it's just aesthetic value I think it circulates the camp and what have done that I've cleared here and left all these big trees standing so that my Quran the spring at art I think before we had a tarp across there some we didn't we someone puts in seeing all that a child I'm going on here and you can Dimond it so you've got two corners s I've got two long ones two short ones you can either put hammock up under the tarp or you make a raised bed one of those raised beds or it's probably gonna make a long-term shelter here army we've got you guys who suggested wickiup shelters little debris huts and staff debris Hut there's all I just moved all this debris
what's this American tall what's this debris is Deborah's every to us is to breathe to them modeling I didn't bring a tomatoes with me so if they're going to be Genovese of something for sure guys I think that one one we really do have in common with the Americans is table yeah table the same table is exactly same English so fish fish a big following of American guys there for supporting us and Canadians and Canadians as well well they got the greatest outdoors in the world I should take up there yeah remember going on Vancouver Island once with a guy called he is Marie Clayton he went as a fishing camp I'll tell you what is it that I've still going to see being fishing result so I've been other than Hampshire I've traveled around the world a bit doing camping stuff and we go out in the woods there from Banfield it was on the west coast of Vancouver Island forget saplings all you Canadians must laugh when you see us sawing down a Sackler you know I got crews like you wouldn't believe over there but why couldn't understand at that time this guy no he was older than I was and we were going fishing for cutthroat trout God knows were in the middle of some lake somewhere it took us forever to get there wait for this he's carrying a huge cooler and he was I couldn't keep patient and how do these Canadians climb over all that rubbish and debris on the no on the grass honestly I felt embarrassed or was probably like that 50 at the time Maui was quite a bit older than me I couldn't keep a shoe these Canadian guys you just power through it unbeliev I do a daily don't tell us who this is yeah sapling man sapling man I have actually cleared the whole area here rate it all there so I don't know with that you get ticks in deciduous I don't honestly know yeah I'd say on the bracken iraqi-american yes well I've cleared all this I make a nice easier and how did I clean it I've bought my garden rake how bush is that I don't care I've done the job in less time I'm not going to make some facts thing and print it away at it buddy
it's done two afternoons work fact I told her for the work because I got so engrossed in this like a CI you guys and might get engrossed in it once you start like laying a camp out it really does get your dinner it's no question that a tune though guys we've got some cooking up we're going to do in a minute nice sentiment but we have something seriously special coming your way towards the end of this video so stay around because we have at least we have we have some sort of announcement that's yeah that we're going to announce you guys say might honest to god you think ours is all set up if be invited me to say I found something oh you like yeah that's another thing another thing is down here's two things he's telling me he found something any won't tell me what it is it's pretty shocking but we need your help to identify what I have found because in my areas and look if it if they grow any bigger than what I found
I'm gonna have to put a total barbed wire fence around it and Electrify it could we get the kettle on yeah let's get fo you go the way up no he's not you're not trading hookers yeah I got that one anyway
guys got quite a few dead saplings here this is a bird small silver birch dead unfortunately but there's loads of these around so I'm just going to push this down and the reason I can tell is steadied because it's well summertime now and those obviously no leads at the top of this tree so it's definitely a dead tree
[Applause]
[Laughter]
we go dollars we've got a quick lunch today
tea bags of sugar in the same container doesn't matter if you like sugar if you don't like sugar that's tough you're going to get sugar tea bag tea bag I just love this huge 100 kilo log the table nothing on me using this little knob is called a lock and lock or double lock that thing there you just get them in like what we call Poundland dollar land discount land but I've got believe it or not because they've got this rubber seal there oh man I've actually got my milk in there this is also known as moment you want in your tea not milky tea I'll take strong tea I'm a man so this is absolutely we could have made something like this can we you know yeah just by pure chance I had to roll this about 80 yards just again it's no worker lift it but boy was it worth it no it's cool greatest photography and also here I can put all my stuff up here for cooking it's not all over the floor and you put your foot in the frying pan it's cooked in San Jose the blue noise back through nice and fast ignite I tell you are after the old lip burn the last time the plastic cups back so the metal one listen how serious is this you think it's funny don't you I could have burned my lip wait for this guys what would have happened if my moustache burst into flames one toast for you but isn't just for men would have gone that I don't need to do blanket we blacks on carbon this is toast yeah okay there we go this toast empty try it marmalade marmalade you know that's not a bad size cheers guys if my lips will burn off mmm no it's alright nice little bug in there labor that's fun movie dead weren't it oh yeah it's cooked that's protein but bugs are in force now really cuz it's spring time
lovely day though isn't it yeah got actually mine Weaver Marvin and bugs lovely so is the announcement you've all been waiting for guys we said earlier that we had announcement and we want you to name this bushcraft camp the new bushcraft camp we're not going to name it you guys are going to comment in the comment section below this video what do you want to call this camp no rude words please so and we will choose a winner at some point we're going to go through all the names that you guys have come up with we'll choose a winner and that winner will a get a shout out in the video because you would have named the camp but B we're going to make a little sigh in a plaque for the campaign well lord please perform a piece a week I don't know cutting with an eye Rider and it was described in something like that but you guys get to come up with the name so please comment away guys there's no point watching the video get involved we want you commenting saying oh this is a pretty cool camp names out there but let us know whatever you would like to call this camp we're in a deciduous woodland as loads of silver birch rhododendron bushes staying in networking metals I mean you don't know guys look at this and think oh I see you want to see what we re Aryan that is cleared is lovely but what you have to go to nettles above my belly with its foot metal metal that'll walk in there and show these guys yet before I show you something else because I've been through those nettles with the slasher slasher and what I found put the fear of God in me I found something down there on the ground I don't know this is skull you've only got a skull it wasn't a fifty pence piece it was it was something I thought oMG Mike someone's going to stay overnight here what the hell is it I'll show you where I found it out in here in amongst the nettles and that was a five feet tall you haven't seen it yet no I haven't seen it now it's pretty scary haven't seen hoping but it could be just barely alive it's something that could still be living so I've got it very very carefully wrapped in a piece of plastic and I put - that round here it could be a lot earlier life the early life yeah so it's a living organism it's a living organism and you won't know what it is you see that oh my god what's that I'm sort of thing I don't think it's some sort of newly buddy want to say it yeah let's have a look still moving it still moving it is it alright so like you can if you store this early just keep it at the bottom looking at camp y'all go sweeten your hand let me see you day know on racket let me see the nobody season I show the folks first ah I'm gonna oh if you feed it moving oh my god I could wheel it move but I'm gonna show him you're gonna show him let some of that it's horrible what is that guy's whoa that's awesome have you like lead stuff and subtle yeah when I'll be in the or still working yeah look how they look in the top wow that's amazing
I've never seen that so what regan here is it something something that sighs the terrorizing closer jealous oh so you've got there the xbox that's really me it's a working Joe look at the ball and socket joint over here it goes into this it locks into it a lot a big crashing power I think so yeah there we go yeah in around is legal mmm alien right so it's got one canine there you can so identify this there there's the canine it's got the molars are climbing on no much like a Mona tip it that way show me locks in the head oh yeah this side yeah there that you're hot
there there that way and look in that in a hole that goes right through the skull the door there there's the there's the the snout I mean ask us what would that be is amazing he's got a working jaw that is really cool and they're still working so there you go people it's got a working jaw as Mike said it's got holes in the top there which i think is it called a masseter muscle incredible draw power like a hyena no no no it's not a hyena wound ambusher not the Serengeti
yeah but what is that creature guys is pretty awesome teeth power on it okay so at the top it would have had little ones to grip at the top it would have for these big fangs out there so socket Li the other ones come out and it would have had to because you can see the holes in the socket at the top don't know whether the interlock fact those are outside so those would have gone outside of the jaw there but the fact and it's got molars so it's half canine half molar so what creeps is I get you know half but I love that it works like that no herbivore it's what I meant was in there yeah half canine and half her on the whole omnivore even that as well three is three different species not only you got to name the camp name the young guys name the skull well wash a tiny ocean fishy show you can download your tenango I see get a lousy magazine [Music]
