as you can see guys I've started building this wall of almost finished it now I've got loads more logs to cut this thing for me to walk around the woods holding this long trying to measure it against other logs it's just not gonna work so I don't have a tape measure on me so all I've done is I've got a piece of white silver birch nice and bright I could see this if I put it down you know I won't lose it hopefully I know if I push it against there that that's the correct length it's nice and light I can take this with me measure against another log that I need to cut use the saw blade make a little nick so I've got you know on the main log so I've got somewhere to cut and then I can bring the wood over the other thing I've done just to make life a little bit easier it's just made literally a small V out of two pieces of wood or you can see I just used a bit of paracord there dead dead simple that way if I need to saw something you know that's maybe a little bit bigger I don't have to waste my energy it's all about conserving energy I don't have to waste my energy on sawing away trying to hold it out with my hands you know I can angle that a little bit lower just like that nice sturdy platform got my saw and I'm away and it's nice and strong and you know what guys this is absolutely light as anything piece of cake easy to make just tied a little couple of knots there I can just meeting this upper case there and use it whenever anything well here's a bit of wood I think probably a good size I've measured up against the end there with my silver birch measuring stick to make a lick like that there and then I know where to saw but I don't want to saw this on the floor because it's gonna pinch itself together here's where my nifty little sawing it's like a horse really saw a horse coming whoever made that Nick so it's over there so I need it that side slide it down and actually that sits pretty perfectly there's my mark there and now I've got a really sturdy platform and easy saw through this love nothing is pinching that's not her things I'm bending my knees and what happens to hold the wood up so I'm not straining my arms and there we go done and I've got that top this I can just pick up and walk around with now as you can see around me in the environment I'm in there's lots and lots of deadfall the trees here are growing completely naturally obviously they're falling all over the place so they're in a tangled mess once I've cut that log up like I did then if I lay that on the floor I'm going to lose it so what I do is I just lean them up against the tree like this that way I know if I look around something like this stands out it looks different to the human eye it clocks its hold on that's a bit too man-made there's where my logs are otherwise if I love these all on the floor I'm looking around I don't know where they are there's just a little tip clean them up and I've doctored these around the place you can see if I come up here I've actually got it a few around and I've got a few more over here just leaned up like that a few more there a few more in the distance down there as well and you can see that I know exactly as I'm looking where I've cut up and put all my logs it's just a little tip to be honest in it it's worked very and yeah just makes you keep track of all those logs you caught you don't wanna waste your energy on famine to cut more well I've got my word you've got my logs I'm all set I've actually got my fire going as well but you know what guys there's nothing worse than when you have that nice warm cup of tea cup of coffee cup of soup place it on the ground and it falls over so what done I've been keeping myself busy and I basically just with the axe chipped away and made a nice flat surface here so I can put my cups on it and things like that it's not gonna roll it's very sturdy and you know what it's just a bit of a pastime but it works I'll go put this near the fire now I've made a flat level because I can tell by the way it's rolling it wants to roll that way inwards balance no I've got really organized for my cooking and they do a boil in the bag I think I've got meatballs and pasta or something like that I've got the firebox going now it's burning really well I've done a bit of kindling just with a bit of wood that I've had I've got some kindling a little pile of kindling over here ready just some thicker stuff once that's burnt down I've got some nice hotbed of embers then I can actually burn the bigger stuff great little stove that again it's flat pack so you can pack it in really flat and it just saves it's got an ash tray underneath so it saves actually having to clean up you know after your fire this kind of does it boys yourself one final thing as well I've made any bigger basically spade shovel here just to make it you get a bit more leverage and things like that you can make them to whatever size you prefer guys but this is just a bit more powerful and the other thing is with your soaring horse rather than just leave this on the floor to rot you know you might MIT you might lose it as well if you're walking away from the camp you can just leave that up like that then you know exactly where it is
