now perry peacock here with wilderness innovation up here to the debris Hut it's a kind of snowy breezy day now you come up here and take a look at things and I really didn't get a chance to get it all closed in like I would like to I got a lot of it done but not really enough but anyway I thought it'd come up and take a look at it so here we are come on up the rest of the way up the trail here and you see back in under there under the original debris Hut where I slept out on that rainy night a little while ago it's still dry you know snow in there getting a little bit of some drifting of snow up here up here on the front section like the sides I never did get closed in yet so we're getting some snow kind of coming through the sides here a little bit the top is all pretty much got leaves on and everything but the sides are low so i'm going to try to rectify a little that today if i can some fun stuff so here we are up here to the sitting inside the debris Hut it snowed a few inches up to three about three inches or sell outside mom the huts got a little bit of trace here kind of up here in the entryway area but as we get back into the to the hut here why now you can see I've got so my gear here and look back in there just dry leave and we're all pretty well situated here so you know it didn't turn out too badly one of the problems I didn't get up here and get enough leaves on my little addition I got them on the roof but not the walls so I got a little bit more snow in here than I'd like to but it's not bad I've got me a little fire going up right outside the doorway here and got me a cup of water on for some hot chocolate so I'm going to take out on a little bit of that just let me wake up a hot chocolate going here took out my little windbreaker raincoat 2 i'll lay on the ground here just as a little cushion against the dampness it's not too bad here i'm kind of in the entryway of the have the a debris Hut but but if you know it helps a little bit plus i use this when I scraped my shavings for the fire I just scrape them right here and caught them in my one bite could had me a nice nest of those and set them over in there and let them on fire with my magnesium fire starter and yeah I had split some split some wood up a little bit of some maple here all that stuff took off and now I threw a little bit i've got a kind of a pile here got to brush the snow off and got a little bit of some stuff going here and i'm just going to cook this cup of hot chocolate up and then you know i'm just going to kind of mess around here for a little bit and then head on back i had just did snow today so i just as anxious they don't already have the walls filled in on the hut but i'll show you what i did do today and it will help a little bit so i put a bunch of debris over the wood that was there and it's not covered in as good as being piled up with leaves but it's a lot better than it was when I came up here this morning and it gets any snow on it and stuff it it'll kind of accumulate on the outside and it'll actually kind of plug up and fill in and make at least a windbreak on the side so but anyway there's back in the hut there and everything back back in here in the sleeping area I'd still got a couple of feet of leaves back in there nice and dry and crispy leaves so those are very good now let's see if this chocolate is ready add a little water to and I spill a little bit oh yeah that's nice and I'm just going to let the fire go out here but but that's nice it's toasty it's been a wonderful day and enjoy a little chocolate finish up little maintenance here hit the trail back on down here towards the truck go back to the hell and really it's a spot Barry decock is having a little bit of fun in the snow up here getting started into the wintertime stuff so having a great time and hope you enjoy your winter and i'll see you on the next video
