Magnesium Fire Starter Fraud

Description

Perhaps it's not legally a fraud, but it is deceptive to gain sales. Many Mag sticks will not light a fire or even light themselves. Hard to believe someone in the manufacture would not know that. Magnesium bars are wonderful for starting fires, just make sure you buy one that works, check out the video. this is three the down magnesium bar edge there three four all right so you see we're right in here this is the Chinese generic bar and there's the little pile of shavings by it the bar is very hard it's very difficult to really get anything off it's almost kind of like gummy when you try to scrape it the next stack over here this is the down magnesium bars the original military-issue and you notice how huge of a pile that there is there compared to this one okay now here's just a little quick evaluation of the individual bars themselves so the generic Chinese silver silver of kind of a matte finish the the bar itself is hard and kind of gummy it's not at all like the other magnesium bars reportedly a lot of a lot of these there's probably quite a number of different manufacturers a lot of the striker bars have reportedly fallen out of them the puck C's given way or whatever

had several of these that the striker bar fell out of and I don't know if maybe there's a bad batch or something but I had purchased a couple of them straight out of the store and in it in the pack I'm packaging him one of them fell on the floor in the and the striker bar fell out so I unpackage the next one I'm just dropped from the table to the floor in it and that would also fell out okay this one right here is the dome manufacturing bar this is the original made something like 20 years for the US military and aviators and all that sort of thing

the bar is very smooth kind of a grayish silver gray color the metal is soft it's very very easy to scrape you need to follow the most of them don't have instructions very well but the Doane downes instructions for the military was to scrape a pile of magnesium shavings about the size of a quarter and then strike those on fire and now there's a reason for that let me just show you them let's just illustrate this real quick and now watch what happens and watch now this thing the whole pile kind of light and glow and when I lift this up with my with my knife a little bit and blow on it notice the white the bright white flame inside of there okay so here we go you see how bright and white that is it's very bright now watch when I lift this up and I blow on that look how this is the dome material look how white hot that is the staff the don't stick so you still get that it's that amazing white it's almost blind you like this one right here says magnesium fire starter okay let's see you start a fire with this I shaved off some more fresh shavings got me a nice big pile okay look I'm throwing sparks right in there I get a little bit of glowing look at that nothing nothing here starting okay you've seen there's a longest little glowing guy right there this stuff does not take off and burn it's not leave seeing the other ones the down flashes right up with a bright bright white light this thing right here to me is fraudulent you know you have people trust in their lives to this kind of stuff and this is worthless he shaved the generic Chinese firestarter and then this is a branded firestarter brand name and and I'm going to try I'm going to spark to light these and I'll bet you if I put the spark rod right here on these I'll bet you that pile lights before that one does this genetic stuff does not like let's just see what happens just for curiosity if I get something that bounces off of here under there at baby's lit look at that you tell me you tell me what you like look at this that stuff from the generic won't even start if you put it in among the other stuff okay so what I've done now with the with these shavings is there's our regular name-brand Matt mag stick those our generic Chinese mag stick I'm going to use a dang lighter this is the old double-barrel shotgun later so let me just put that in here now you see we're going away nothing happening getting right in it nothing at all it's not burning yet all right let's try this stuff over here the real stuff it burns that stuff won't you can't even make it burn now break that is proof again this genetic Chinese so-called fire starters are not fire starters at all they're just a few ounces in your pocket and some kind of dream or hope Oh
