I wanted to show you something we thought about for some time and we just hadn't got around well we're just kind of toying with some stuff got some of our good customers have commented that it would be nice if we had some kind of a kid or some kind of something that could go along with the poncho for use when you're turning it into a tarp and so we did just that and we're calling it it's basically a tarp accessory kit for the poncho so its intended for the poncho to add some items that a lot of people are buying here and there randomly on their own just piece by piece this puts it all together into one kit for you so you get one kit one bag that's got all this stuff in it and if you've got this combined with your poncho there's no doubt you can set that thing up as a tarp in many many different configurations without needing anything else okay here's the here's the tarp accessory kit for Poncho's it comes in the same size bag the same bag actually as as our Poncho's come in so we've got four tent stakes right here these are easton aluminium tent stakes these are very strong they're the same weight these are the same weight as the titanium ascent stakes that we sell on our website Julie the same weight but they're stronger than those titanium stakes and then you get just like when you buy one of our tarps you get a the set of shock cords a set of three shock cords a 32 inch a 24 inch and an 18 inch with cord locks on them so you can adjust them you get also three Hanks of parachute cord 550 parachute cord it's the same kind of core to come standard with Poncho's so normally when you buy a poncho you're going to get to Hanks so you add this this gives you this would give you five Hanks of parachute cord these are the easy clip minis very popular people buy these like like candy but you get six of these in this in this kit and they can be used to give yourself a tie out point anywhere else that you need one on your poncho

now the Poncho's do come with 12 tie out points around the perimeter but sometimes you may need a tie out point in a location that is not one of those twelve spots

so with these that gives you six more locations that you can lay out on your poncho when you set it up as a tarp let's pop one of these out here okay so some of you haven't seen them before so basically this is a it's got a wedge this piece here you can see is a wedge shape

it's slice it slides under that bar there's teeth right here that grip so you shove that in there and the tighter you pull on it the tighter the grip put your cord right through that hole right there and as you pull on it it'll grip harder the matching bag which which it has plenty of room for the items in there you can actually add some more stuff into this bag and an add-on to your kit if you want Suns got down the chills coming in I just wanted to do a quick little intro showing you the kit and so I put this up I used here's one piece of rope I use three of the four tent stakes I use two of the three shock cords and I used one two three four of the easy clips and I made a nice little lean-to pretty darn quickly without much of any trouble now if I were if I were just doing a demo today beau will be doing a bunch of stuff with us it's just a brand new product we just started we actually just started shipping yesterday and some of these but they could like like I've got some pine boughs this is just a pine forest out through here in about 15 minutes I could have enough pine boughs in here to be about a foot thick so when I lay down I wouldn't feel any of the cold early from the ground I mean I throw my blanket out or my oh sneak Lok whatever and I could be good to go and we'll demo some of that stuff coming up as we get into winter time here late fall and coming into winter so here I just have I've used four of these easy clips I didn't really need to because I've got tie out in here along this edge but this gives me a little more time out support and I've used the here's the shock cord and went through this tie out over through the loop around the tree and cinch that down with that cinched it down with that cord lock right there so that creates nice good solid tension on this thing and you can see on this end over here I just looped the shock cord around that tight right there I came back here with the other end and I just broke off a piece of stick going crossways in here like a Marlinspike pulled some tension on zip this cord lock up there and so that right there you can see that really that ring has nice nice tension on it now down here at ground level I used three of the eastern aluminum this is the Easton lumens East and aluminum six-inch tent stake and I didn't use the shock cords here I just went straight into the ground with them through the loops on there one here in the middle right there and then one out here on the end put that one right in there so anyway that's part of our introduction to the tarp accessory kit for Poncho's available on our website now we're going to be doing some more videos where we show you some more just to give you some ideas of some more things you can do with a kit it's really going to allow you a lot of flexibility when you when you consider all the items and in this way you've got 10 stakes to drive in to anchor down your ponchos a tarp or to use them to tie out guidelines or whatever you have plenty of parachute cord that you'll have you

and even if you've ordered Dyneema or or or Whoopie slings with your poncho because you're gonna use it a lot as a hammock you can still use those items for ridgeline or that sort of thing and then and then use these this parachute cord that you get as for tie outs and that sort of thing we're really excited about this because it's going to give our customers a nice way to set up their poncho as a tarp and be very very effective at it and not have to rummage around for anything else you've got it all right in a kit you just pull the bag out you've got everything you need right there with your poncho an option where you also have you can have a choice these are six-inch stakes are the standard stakes that it comes with now if you want to choose nine-inch stakes you can get the Easton aluminum nine inch aluminum tent stakes with swage tips you can get them in a nine inch or the six inch so it'll give you a choice to choose between what you want if you do get the 9 inch we recommend that you upgrade your bag as as well the the kit bag that comes in because the 9 inch will fiddle the they fit a little better in the longer bag so we recommend that you do that it's only a few bucks or whatever to upgrade that also if you upgrade your bag gives you the possibility of rolling up your poncho inside the bag and put all the kit accessories in there and have everything in the same bag so you can have poncho kit and everything all in the same bag and the bags will be available in all the standard colors a note right now that the the bag option as far as that goes does not apply to the HD ponchos like the kit will work with the HD poncho but we're not offering the HD Poncho's come in a corduroy bag and so right now we're not currently offering that as an option at the moment but you can still get the kit you can still work it with your HD punch on all that really excited if you know somebody that has some of our gear you know this would be a nice gift for them for birthday Christmas
