Sliding A Frame Tarp Set Up - Quick Deploy if Needed

Description

Generally I like to sleep in the open under the skies, but a number of times I've been caught at 2am with a sudden mountain rain storm. Use this "A" Frame tarp set up which is quick and easy to do, and you're all set. Leave it stashed at the foot of the hammock, if a storm comes up, just grab it and slide it over you, DONE!

Mary peacock here with wilderness ovation it was forecast for some pretty good pretty good rain last night it never never did happen it looks like it might happen here today this afternoon but just in case it got rough or whatever I decided to rig up my PST L my large tarp I just put a ridge line up last night and I pitched it just draped it half and half right over the top of the ridge line and I secured the tab on the far end so that if something happened the night I could just reach up grab it pull it over my head and it be in place and I'll show you I'll show you how I did that I got it sitting here all I got to do is just full on it okay so you see on the on the tarp here this is the this is the meddlers the seam line right there and what I've done is just taking the tab folded it around the parachute cord here and then I just stuck a green twig through here and what that does is that that holds pretty pretty securely I mean good enough so the one I need if I need to pull this over me this is already rigged up ready to go stashed at the far end of my stashed at the far end at the foot end of my hammock set up all I got to do is reach up grab it pull it over my head i'm going to go i'll set the camera back up out here a little bit so you can see that

myself see it was stashed back over here not funny so I could have the have the air out there i could buy the night i wanted to look up out of the stars and the surroundings so it's kind of a clear way there I need it oh it does grab it and I just pull it like that and now and now I'm deployed and you know for the most part probably because I got this pitch solo everything like that except with the exception of a pretty heavy storm I could get by with just doing that alone and be good enough to take care of me worst case scenario i stake out a couple of a couple of the tabs as pegs in the ground which sets this thing's already ready to go but take any time at all to do that so that's just kind of a little tip of a lot of times I don't want a lot of times if I don't have to use a tarp over me or something I like to kind of be out so even if I'm kind of under my little setup here if I want to flip open the so my face is outlook it around or one over you know I can only do it I don't have a car phone in there I like to be a milk you
