hey perry peacock with wilderness innovation I'm up here hiking around a little bit I just wanted to relax her a little bit so I thought I'd throw my hammock up here between these two juniper trees and you know the nice thing about it is this this hammock is made from my poncho so I got a rain poncho that can make into a tarp or it can make it a hammock like this one I can sleep in it I can sit in it like this relax and look out here and enjoy the scenery and oh there's a it's pretty darn nice i can make a chair out of it a super shelter all kind of different things so I mean to me a piece of gear that you could always use you know why not take it along that's a practical piece of gear to own so really love it man loving my time in the outdoors up here on this beautiful ridge on this rocky outcropping between these two juniper trees old gnarly beat up things are really nice having a hammock like this it's pretty sweet i love i love it because I take my poncho with me and you know I'm going to use it some or another whether it's for rain or for a tarps you know for shelter of some kind or well I use it like this to sit in or whether I sleep through the night in it or whatever this is a piece of gear I'm going to use every time I go out so this is a it's a very very cozy after hiking around a little bit through all these rocky canyons of stuff up and over and round all this joke here can really do a lot of scrambling getting around in this kind of rough country it's got a hoodie pocket on it down on the one on the front side got a few options on it but even some stuff we don't even sell but I'm always experiment I trying something but not i'm telling i love i love this thing usually always got my punch it with me because i can use it as a hammock just like this which is super comfortable i just threw it between these two trees and i'm right up here on the point out on a little ridge of this rock this red sandstone and it is just every every bit as comfortable as you can be missing took me you know maybe five minutes to set up looks like you know even if you get out somewhere and you just want to take a rest for you know for say 30 minutes or now or whatever it's not too much trouble you know five minutes to put this thing up to you be able to enjoy yourself for a little while the great thing is you know no matter what i'm doing i pretty much always take this thing with me because pretty well guaranteed i'm going to use it for one thing another one other thing i really do like and i use this more and more we we originally offered this kit just as kind of a option for the HD ponchos or whatever this is the dynamic ord I love the parachute cord I don't knock it it's a great thing but I really do like the Dyneema cord because instead of 550 pounds this stuff holds to 2,500 pounds so much much much much stronger and the main thing isn't the strength we've never had a problem we've never had a problem with the parachute cord the thing I like about this most of all really is especially get a situation where your ways between trees this stuff right here does not stretch virtually at all and that's where has an advantage over the parachute cord it's the parachute cords nylon and it does stretch some so it can make it difficult if you have a wide hang between trees but anyway I get some people to tell me that you know this stuff is too slippery to use any regular nuts with well we make these things up here let me just show you right here so we make these chords up if you buy the the hammock dimee the done ain't dyneema court for hammocks have come to set of 2 we already put an eye in the end of it for you so all you do is drop the eye down the channel of your poncho basically cinch that up good go around a tree and then what I do and I've done this ever since we started making these as I go around a tree if I can't I go around it three more than once but at least to this point and tie a couple half hitches in it I can go around another time I do if I can go around another time I do just because it's nice and then all i gotta do is just double back through here he's just kind of so that made me one half hitch drop me another half hitch into there that's all I need I mean people say oh it's too slippery or whatever if you want to throw a third half hitch in there go ahead I don't have the time I just do two of them but it holds just fine it's just beautiful works well and I really like it I mean it's a it's a bit of a price upgrade but not that bad but I like the option it gives you for hanging between white trees so it makes your hangs a little bit easier because there's no stretch in it virtually at all better so perry peacock wilderness innovation little little quick tip on our dyneema Paris yard dyneema court option that you can get with our ponchos you
