not much fairly chilly breeze bawling you kill a cold air just settling in under here it is nicer can be very very nice hey there this is perry peacock with wilderness innovation up here have me a good old time a little bit of februari snow camp up here and i'm going to make me a nice stew today i think over the fire I've got my mini a parachute canopy up here and that really makes it nice this I don't even have that much of a fire going here and it is just nice and very nice and hot up inside of the canopy and I can feel that heat radiating down on me which makes my time here very cozy alright so so I'm up here today I'm going to do a in this nice canopy here i'm going to use some cooked campfire cooking sticks out of my builder grill kit so anyway I think that going to use the 18 inch set the the 12 inch should work fine down here too but hey since I got them all and so I just found this out right here this gives me a triangle three points of contact which makes a sturdy cooking platform I'm going to put a 3 quart pot on here the 16 inch zebra pot or 16 centimeters zebra pot and we'll get some stuff going here in just a moment I'm making I'm making calls back in there I'll soon be able to rake some stuff out of there and make me something really good and then hear this see the triangular effect here I can get me a nice place to rest right there that'll be very nice with my pot on there I'm going to go ahead and use my stainless steel spring loaded pot clips air spring steel to hold the handle up now we just pour us some bit of water in there will get that start warming up here I'll throw a little bit of stuff under here and we'll get going on this little bad boy got my stuff cooking here I got potatoes and carrots got inside of their starting to steam away boil up it put me some onions in the top of here now I'm just kind of letting them there is kind of warming on top of these lids on these zebras pots will nest upside down or right side up in there so just putting their I don't really want to cook those quite yet but you know I'm getting just warming them up a little in my cup over here my cup over there I've got some water for some mocha well as you can see it's pretty nice in here this little thing just like what they get the big groups it takes the edge off a little fire here that fills with smoke and hot air and and it's just the heat just radiates down on to you so I've got this fire nicely going now and this thing is hissing this dome was just pushed out tight because there's a lot of heat in here and you know what the Sun going down it is getting a little bit more on the cool side but I want you can see the steam just flying out of there I want to show you something else something my friend Mikhail mercurio from merck where's came up with here's the sprogs and they helped get a little closer here and they hooked together with a little pivoting action right here and this little fork raid this little hook right here engages in a little flange on that hole right there and incidentally this hole right here you can put a small carabiner through it if you want to click it on to something but that's how it is how they store and you notice their long so I can even get down in the bottom of this pot here you can get down on the bottom of a of a pouch if you're using a freeze-dried mill like I never do here's one of the other nice things about it because you flip it over and engage that little hook now I've got a set of tongs a lot of times I go ahead and brown the meat before I put it in here but this is a pretty aggressive boil we got going on here and this is just some steak Chuck's from my butcher today I'm going to go up and do me a little stew what do you got I'm going to put I want to put this whole thing in here whoops not the Pat not that part I got over a pound of meat in there it's a it's absolutely ridiculous but do you think I care not really I love it so we'll let that go I need to I need to make my mo cup because that water is like boiling I'm have to put a little bit of have to put a little bit of snow in there to cool it down a little
well you can see it started to snow here and we got a little gusty wind coming up but it's not a big deal I've only got 6 tie outs on that dumb and I can put six more on there hey most of these I just barely have them tight i don't even really just let that thing float there more than anything the man is so nice down inside of there a little bit of stew here going on oh yeah very nice i love it it's fantastic it's really a great deal nice and warm in here nice hot stew yes I got that onion it's nice and well cooked the meat very good nice and tender not bad for stew meat anyway right don't even pour a little bit of juice in there was another thing about winter camping because you do want to make sure you get plenty of liquid and so so one of the nice things i like about cooking a stew or something like that in winter camping it's helping you to get the extra moisture the liquid that you need to help keep you going help keep you from getting hypothermic and stuff like that and the winter time on your camping not nice that nice hot broth is really nice I like like the flavor of the onions and the carrots and potatoes and the meat and all that a little bit of seasoning I threw in here so so anyway this is a nice little novell steaming hot meal very good now tell you any kind of stew up camping here's a good way to go that just makes a nice meal and to me they're just nothing like this kind of meal on a snowy winter day very good so this is perry peacock with wilderness innovation talking to you about the talking to you about the sprung talking to you about the cook and sticks down here now we're cooking on and these this pair here is actually the aluminum and I got my 3 quart pot the 16 centimeters zebra pot we got my mocha cup that I still have been editing most of it I will once I huh probably eat horse then just kind of kick back and relax a little bit and doing my time anyway enjoy your timing outdoors spare a man around have a little bit of fun a lot of people to ask about this canopy and we're we're planning on putting it on the website here shortly maybe gonna reach or something here but anyway we'll get all this going just just about having fun outdoors me that's what it all about I just show you to stop by use you
