Fire with Flint and Steel

A quickie video of fire starting with flint and steel. On an early morning hike, did the video before turning around and heading back.

perry peacock with wilderness innovation here this morning to do a quick little fire start to exercise with foot and steel and I've got a little piece of Flint here i'm going to use and I've got some char I keep it all right in this little container just to airgun pellet container with a screw top lid so it's going to drive me a little piece char cloth out of there and put this thing like to put it just just a little past the top of the flint there let it kind of lay over a little bit and I like to take my steel and put it on about a 30 degree angle and do a shearing kind of a shearing motion like this and there we go

if you can see that we got a little done that'll go in there I'm gonna anyway there we go got a little fire very quick very simple to do and so get a flint and steel I've got these Flint's because these steels going to be available on my website I got the P style and also the traditional the more traditional see style be they will be available and so anyway perry peacock again in a little fun little morning exercise here and get this thing put out and head on back down the canyon and get off on my regular day's work so thanks for watching bye
