there you go that'll be on the bloopers that's right perry peacock with wilderness innovation here we're up in the like snow shoot up the canyon here and gonna cook us a little breakfast and out a little lunch and fool around with the shelter we're working on back here our survival type thing i want to show right now is i was rummaging around in my old boxes from decades of moving and stuff and i found this old optimus svea 123 stove but I know for sure has never been used for at least 25 years so let's see I shook it I know there's some little tiny bit of fuel or something here I just I want to see if this just for kicks you know see if this thing works or whatever I don't even remember if I know how to work this thing I think I remember we used to put some gel down in here to get it started but remember i bought this little primer pump that goes on here the acts have to change out the little cap that's right there that's got a little spring-loaded one this stove doesn't actually need pressure to run it has a wick that goes down in there and once it gets started it just fuel just wicks up into the stove but if you pump a little bit of pressure into it then you don't have to use the jail there we go got some fuel squirting up here it'll it'll run down under that little well right there in the moment now we are holy cow I don't know how much fuels even in there I know there's a little bit all right let's see if that's enough to get some action going here with this stove what you're going to do is there we go with this stuff what you doing is preheating this column right here and then the wick goes up into there and once that's hot enough it comes up there in the fuels vaporize then it burns kind of flames out so now I don't think this is the recommended method to put this on while everything's burning so don't call Oh Shawn me touch it sounds like it's trying to run already will had 25 years at least this is I don't know this is whatever fuel was laying in this thing for all those years first time starts up this baby runs
