hey what's up Turtles its Creek here with black outdoors today I'm going to be doing a video review on the SOG twitch - SOG selling this on their website for $72.50 woods I think's a little a little pricey for the knife the cheapest I found it online was laying around 40 bucks seems a lot more appropriate for me and what you're getting with this knife the closed length is I think right around three and a half inches and it weighs 2.6 ounces so definitely you know really light for an EDC folder the overall length is over six I don't sleep around six and a quarter

I believe blade length is two point six five inches flat grind it is aus 8 steel which I've seen and done reviews on the rats about one and two have feature that same type of alloy and steel and it's a satin finish and I like to get a drop point you know and its really nice dual thumb studs on both sides or touch on them and a little bit talking more about it

he's moving down to the handle it's anodized aluminum which anodized I believe I want to say the opposite as galvanized but it's done through an electrolytic process I think one of them's has to do with the positive polarity ones the negative of the electro electrolytic process I forget which which is which but basically that's it it's anodized it's not textured it's not textured so you know it's really kind of slippy slippery if you will but that's sort of alleviated with this little piece of the blade that's actually coming down here which assists in the assisted opening of it and there's this little groove right here where your thumb say put my index here and my thumb here and I create more actually like another point of contact if you will and it feels really comfortable in the hand using these two little extra a little extra features of the knife and with the clip in it it helps give you a little bit extra added extra added grip if you will and I really just like the look of this that or almost this matte finish against the satin against the satin just like look I'm not a huge fan of SOG knives personally a lot of their knives I just don't look like aesthetically but this this sort of these little accents which they are you know structurally important to keep the knife together but they sort of act there's like aesthetic accents and I just like the look of this knife clip here for your belt or in your pocket

nice now moving into the locking system it's not a liner lock it's a lock back which is there's a safety right here that's I just clicked Safety's on right now

Safety's off and this is for if this part would be you know come bumped in your pocket but the assistant opening potentially it could come open so the Safety's here just to stop that from happening and with the assist that open and put the index family now as quick as I like the lock back here press this down

able to close it assists that opening again doesn't want to click as much this humidity this humidity is really wreaking havoc on everything including my hair but here are the thumb studs which I really don't like to use this for this night but it really they work for me the gold the gold in this knife is using this fit my index here pushing it open there it goes and in this hole hole in this whole movement in action you know the knife really feels well constructed within that swoop of the blade flying out of you know inside sort of the handle body which is nice that you know the quality of this knife let's say it's pretty high you know for 70 bucks I'm not a huge fan of it being that expensive around 40 or 50 definitely more tolerable in my opinion with the worth of the knife but within that action it doesn't feel like the blades moving around it really feels solid as it as it catches with the thumb stud you know really feels solid and catches and you know I like that there's a few things maybe one nitpick thing I don't like or that I've noticed with this knife I don't know if you'll better pick it up with the bevel the bevel on the blade this side is nearly twice as small is this side I hope that translates into the video do you'll be able to see that detail really small on this side and about twice as big on this side just eyeballing it saying twice and you know for me being nitpicky is a really gonna make a difference that much with this knife no you're not going to be doing a lot of hard cutting with this you know you're gonna be doing a lot just quick you know out of your pocket do some small tasks open up a box cut some small things not that big a deal so there may be meats being a little nitpicky with it but you know for over seventy dollars in a knife you know these are the small details that makes make that make manufacturers stand out with that being said I'll just do a small small few cuts with it bring the camera down just show the knife in action today it does cut and you know it's small EDC great for in the pocket everyday use and you know a pool I'll pull the rat two out to do a comparison as my actually favorite or my EDC of choice right now which is the rat to grab that out of my pocket and the rat to almost wharfs this night you know and I really like the rat - and this is only to think two point seven ounces compared to this is like two point six you can see how much more quote more knife for getting a bigger blade and this does not feel big in any regard in the pocket as an EDC so this is definitely a smaller I'd say smaller EDC which is you know if what you're looking for it's definitely you know it could be a nice little you see for you if you're willing to pay pay the price so this is the twitch - SOG script sounding out with black outdoors later Turtles
