it was up Turtles creek here with black outdoors pretty much ever since we started our YouTube channel we've received a lot of questions from our viewers asking us what equipment we use to make our videos and my brother and I pretty much decided now's a good time to share everything we use starting with audio we use the giant squid omnidirectional lab mic and we use this mic because it's an affordable lav mic and for the price you're getting pretty good audio quality so next is the zoom h1 audio recorder and we plug our lav mic into that and why we chose the zoom h1 is because again it was affordable it is affordable and you get pretty good audio quality for the price and as you can see it's pretty banged up because for a while when we first started using this I was only putting it in my pockets while we were filming so that sort of prompted me to make a belt carry sheath for the audio recorder and it's pretty much worked flawlessly and without any new damage since and the last of our audio recording equipment is the rode videomic pro and we use this when we want better on camera audio because we don't let the sink or audio then with the camera and it just allows for more fluid and more natural recording process and it's wearing a dead cat which is sold separately and that really just helps for when it's really windy you're still able to get good and usable audio moving on to our tripods that we use and this is the biggest tripod that we use and is the vanguard alta pro two 6380 and while this is a heavy tripod not the latest what that weight gives us is stability and you don't have to get the tripod perfect to get a level shot or a level frame and it also gives you a lot of different camera positions with the versatility as

position the tripod the tripod head we use on mentioned tripod is the gh 100 again from Vanguard and it's a ball head mount and basically a ball head allows you to very easily level the frame without messing with the legs of a tripod moving on the next tripod we use is the joby gorillapod DSLR zoom and we use this one for small compact cameras like the GoPro or cell phone for example and we like this one again because justice size is small it's very easy to transport the legs articulate which is allows you to attach it around objects and again it features a ball head another tripod we use is again a joby gorillapod but this one is the focus which is a little bit bigger than previous mentioned one and this tripod is actually large enough to use a DSLR own and that's pretty much when we'll use it again it has articulating legs and a ball head mount and rounding out the tripod category this video we use the Jobi grip tight mount and this is pretty much solely used for when we want to attach our cell phones to a tripod so we use the adobe creative cloud and that has a variety of programs and that's why we choose to use it and it's pretty much industry standard but primarily we use Premiere Pro for video editing and color correction and then photoshop for our photography for mobile software or apps we use VSCO cam which is a photo editor which is super intuitive pretty easy to use in addition to that we also use Snapseed which is a pretty powerful app for a mobile application and that's just a little bit more in depth in VSCO cam the last but not least are the cameras first up is the canon 7d which is and has been our primary camera since we started blackout it gives great image quality in video and photos and it's just been a workhorse proven by how many videos we've recorded with it we first started using a Canon EF 28 to 135 lens and the image stabilization on that crapped out on us an image stabilization is important to us because most of the videos we film our handheld so we upgraded our lens to a canon ef-s 18 and 135 and again that has image stabilization the next camera we use is the GoPro Hero 3 plus black edition and we'll use the GoPro basically when it's inclement weather or when we're going to be around water because we have a waterproof housing for it and we also use the LCD BacPac which basically allows you to frame the shots because without it you can't see the frame and the last camera we use will be my cell phone which is the Apple iPhone 6s and again that's just really convenient to use because it's basically on me at all times and you get pretty good video quality considering it's a mobile phone and you're able to block the exposure in the native camera app well there you have it there's pretty much all of our equipment we use to create our videos and this was meant to just be more of a list and a little bit of why we use it and really know how so if you're interested in more of why and how we use the equipment let us know leave a comment that's something we're both interested in and something we can definitely do so if you like the video I really appreciate if you could give us a thumbs up it really helps us remember to share and subscribe if you haven't already click that little red button till the next video this is quick with black outdoors peace out Turtles you
