hey what's up Turtles it's Creek here with blackout outdoors and today I'm gonna be doing a video showing something that I recently got from a very talented artist and wood carver by the name of Cara Dao I had her commissioned and make me this cherry burl cooks kheh so this was made out of cherry burl and for me it's important for cooks code to be made out of a burl cuz traditionally it was this is a traditional style drinking cup of people from northern Scandinavia Norway Sweden and the other one but it's made out of a burl and why it was made out of a burl is one because a burl is just very very very dense and strong wood it's undirected growth in a tree so there's not really a sort of even or consistent grain which gives us its strength and density which must have made this a real terror to carve carve out the bowl of the cup but you can just see the green on this just how absolutely beautiful

the green on this is this cherry burl the only thing I told her for design I wanted two holes in the handle just completely completely very it's very comfortable left-handed or right-handed I know she did make it because I told her I was right-handed it's very just very very comfortable and just freakin beautiful I really want to say thanks again Karl here's her card she sent with me one of the cards you sent with me this is a chair she made absolutely beautiful some of our info on the back you can find her on Instagram go to her website in addition to the cusco's she sent this care for it she guys she's calling it would butter I think it's a mix of mineral safe food safe oil mixed with organic beeswax so as the cooks are dries out and I use it more put hot liquids in it just reapply this to the exterior the inside of the cup is not treated with this very nice to have I don't have to be searching for anything now to take upkeep with the cup nice little touch what burned in there now I'm just going to get some tea made with this and enjoy it in all its glory just gonna let this TC for a little bit longer before I take my first sip again I want to thank Carr for making this beautiful and very functional drinking cup encourage you to all go check out her website check out her Instagram of all the beautiful spoons and other kitchen utensils she's carving and making this is correct signing out with blackout doors later Turtles you
