it was up turtle it's Creek here with black outdoors and as the title of this video suggests this is an update so first order of business get a lot of comments about this whole hey what's up turtle thing and just to clarify because it's been probably some years since I get the backstory of where the whole turtles thing came from it was like our first crop of videos and at that point in my life you know I kind of come up with sayings or have affection and names for people when I was calling people Turtles I was on a Mutant Ninja Turtles kick so I was like hey what's up turtle what's up my friend what's up my pizza loving turtle and it kind of transferred into the first couple videos and then just kept saying it and saying it and saying it so then there's the point where you keep saying it because it's part of the whole stick people come to expect from your video and then when you don't say people like hey why didn't you say turtles and then I'm not saying video your people saying hey don't call me a turtle so it's nothing derogatory I'm not making fun of anyone if anything it's more of a personally I consider you part of my circle so I'm going to call you an affectionate named turtle okay now that's out of the way second order of business is where have we been for the last six months well right here doing the same things there's no camera on us black out when we first started you know we had ideas of what we wanted to do with it and we made a lot of personal sacrifices to put in the time to allow us to get better at our crafts to produce the high quality videos that you come to expect from us that takes and took a lot of our personal time and like I said we made sacrifices in our lives to do that and we both did it willingly because it's something we wanted to do you know it's exciting it's exciting learning new things because you can see growth if you keep with it and throughout doing this for what four and a half years now probably almost we were nowhere near making a living doing this even with our 77,000 subscribers on YouTube we made nowhere near a living doing this ever which is fine but for us there came the point where the amount of sacrifices we were making in time without seeing sort of the monetary return we knew there's going to be an end date to it and I'm not saying this is the end date for blackout I'm not sure exactly what the future is going to look like ever you know let alone four hour video uploads but I know I'm still interested in doing and producing some videos with my brother under blackout I know he is the same way but we're just trying to figure out our you know lives so I've been focusing a lot on Al Creek handmade my handmade leather goods in wax canvas that's been taking up a lot of my time right now trying to build that sort of business and Stoney's been working on his photography a lot more all the appropriate links are in the description for things we're doing now that are unrelated to blackout in some ways if you have any questions please always you know leave a comment at this point I think I'm just tired of hearing myself talk so I think it's the other thing I wanted to say but I would like to end this was just saying thank you thank you thank you to everyone who supported us from the beginning everyone who's been you know supporting us from whatever point in time they found us it really means a lot to me and my brother and sometimes when you get distance from things where it's been a while since we've done blackout sort of get a different perspective and that's sort of saying you know distance makes the heart grow fonder

I do miss blackout I do miss the type of lifestyle you know we were involved in which is being outside all the time and filming and sharing our experiences and knowledge and opinions with you our supporters we're both doing ok there's nothing wrong with us per se you know there's lots wrong with me but yeah I just like again thank you and I hope all of you are doing well and enjoyed your spring and summer to the next video it says Creek
