hey yourself Turtles it's trickier with black outdoors standing I are out on our day hike shooting some videos what not can hear the sound behind me a cicada is really special and I already done a video sort of highlighting one but there's such a cool sort of phenomenal going on right now that I really want to share it's happening on the ground is there need just try to these are the cicadas this is really the this actually the 17-year hatch it's what you know biologists scientists are calling this right now in this part of the world south central Pennsylvania and so much you know biomass is getting introduced back into the food chain right now all this right here these are the holes pick that out that's a whole Glu cicadas going to crawl out of there let it all over the ground these are this is the exoskeleton you see the slit in the back right here this is where it's going to emerge then after goes up and does its little processes call it crawl up anchor itself with your processes and exit this through that split and there's so many of these on the ground right now over here you can see in this frame here's one that has cicada that's deceased so many exes skeletons all over the ground find a hole there's holes everywhere just got one in frame sitting with on the whole

so these cicadas have been for instance this whole for 17 years sort of waiting dormant waiting for a cycled to complete or continue the circle and they're going to emerge from this whole crawl out and there's going to look like this in form these extra skeletons what they're gonna look like this and form and then they exit this whole are going to call up a tree go through the processes again and they're going to turn out to be the adult
