it was up Turtles Creek here with black outdoors Stoney and I are out for a hike today and we're going to be shooting some videos but as we were walking came across the wild edible I wanted to share with you which is and I believe to be wine berry now this is a type of raspberry it's an invasive berry wine berry the genus is rubus I've seen a lot of plants out produced edible fruits and the rubus genus species I want to forget FINA colossi us or something like that we'll put that put that in but nonetheless these are pretty much ripe as you can see it's a really dark dark almost a wine color a red wine color there's a little bit of stickiness to them and I first saw these wasn't quite sure exactly what they were but I took some pictures I made some mental notes on whom did some research all of this asked some people and came back inclusion this is wine berry which is like I said an invasive from Japan or China which a lot of plants in the East Coast specifically come from those countries because they'll grow well here unchecked but a few characteristics noticeably it was about the plant and on the stems who got to see these little hairs if you will almost like the like little thorns or hairs they persist throughout the year see if there's no vegetation on the plant you can still see this so if you're walking in the winter you come across you know these stems stalks the term slipping my mind but nonetheless you can see these characteristics find a patch and the winter come back in the you know what's this early August late July depending where you are you know the fruit will be B right come back and check them out I'm just going to gather some put some in my cup and keep moving on the trail and enjoy this delectable delectable treat start the day off nice little bounty if you have any experience with wine berry or any types of raspberries in general blackberries you know your favorite recipes let me know always looking for recipes and want to use wild wild fruits wild plants I can find and take you know and not have to obviously buy food as much as I can so you know leave a comment let me know this is correct signing out with blak outdoors later Turtles you
