Video Transcription
hello people and welcome to another video so in this video I'll do a review for you on the ridge line pink towel smock now I have a fair few ridge line garments I'm sure a few of you know over the years but this one is my longest lasting jacket and honestly I thought I'd already done a review on this but I was looking through more in videos the other day and realize I haven't done a review on it I've had these for about two and a half three years now and it's my go-to jacket it's every time we in the woods and throughout spring autumn and a little bit of winter this check is always with me and I've worn in several several videos and so I want to go over it because it's fantastic jacket I will absolutely love it so yeah it comes in this pouch and that's it kind of packaged up and this pouch is the is the inner kind of kangaroo pouch so that it has it folds into itself which is really useful so I just wanted to show you that before before I kind of got it I'd have to put it back in let's get it out and put it on because I'm actually having a little bit of a summer shower here at the minute it's spitting a little bit which I'm not too Pleasant about it because I'm dress for summer anyway here's the jacket just get it on quickly I've got it in medium and generally visualized stuff comes a little bit bigger than you expect but I knew that before getting it more on the roof on the mic
like I said I knew that before getting it and I got it aside and get layers underneath it so the fabric is called quilt X so the the waterproof membrane is actually owned them each piece and it's designed for kind of stalkers and people who are wildlife Watchers etc because it an absolutely soil and jacket when you're moving it doesn't make a noise because of the fabric there is a negative to this in that if it's a torrential downpour this fabric does kind of soak the water up and it can get quite heavy generally when I'm in the woods it's never really raining that bad but it's it's a nice layer to have on it's it keeps you warm as well as dry but like I said if is a torrential downpour this can start to soak up the water and get heavy however I do feel like I just need to spray I need to get some fab sitting on this to make that water be inequality bring you back again yeah just to just to kind of just a tip you on that and but like I said I think it just means spray because when I first got it it did be the water quite well but like I said it's it's me three years old now anyway every it's going in medium and it's if he's caught baggy on me as you can see I am skin and bone but I got it to him getting more layers underneath throughout the winter periods but it's a very basic jacket you've got a fully attached hood a non detachable hood and you've got cinch straps around so for me to I can really pull it in and then kind of tighten it up I used quite heavily in my Scotland trip here back in December if you wanna go back to those videos and see it in Africa and pull out the smoke obviously you've got a big wide zip there to help been to like to keep yourself cool if you need to so that has got a double velcro storm flap to really keep the window things do as well something really cool is obviously like I said you got the kangaroo pouch which folds into itself if you really nice and it's got a storm flap over there to stop any water not going in there is also a waterproof zip if that's important to you all the Zips are I believe a YKK zips which is good qualities it can't go wrong there and then you also have handle pocket as well down the bottom wheezing waterproof zips as well it's quite nice they have elasticated cuffs which have velcroed as well which is great very very narrow wrists and then the smock obviously comes quite low it covers the buttocks your back end so you can sit down on it if you want to but it's just a really nice and general throw out the smock chuck it in your bag it's not massive and it's just nice and quiet it's the young but that we rustle but it's just the noise kind of bushcraft the outdoors and toys waterproof to carry easier to throw on when you need it and it's big enough to throw over all your layers which I really like and like I said I'll be carrying this a very long time it's my girl up it's my bow to Jack even when I'm out in the woods book I thought my video on it ready but clearly I haven't see ya go and check out the print our smokey fantastic jacket nice general waterproof any questions let me know I'll be sure to get back to you until next time thanks for watching and I'll see you again very very soon
