hello guys welcome to my Russia it's an awesome Sunday today even though it's overcast it was not too warm and almost no insects it's awesome it's the I think it's a second yeah 2nd of September today so yeah the video here is gonna be about the little Firefly the little microfarad the survival Ferro rod because it seems like quite a few of you guys wanted to get one and ever since I got this little guy I have used it almost every day I've used it a lot so this is just gonna be a short video with a few tips on how to use it and what my opinion on it is so far I have a few guys commenting that this is not good it's too small to be used is too small for cold hands and all sorts of stuff but sometimes when I see comments I've caused also know I have a good feeling or indicator anyway on on the comments if they are you can say if they are based in real life or they're just based on the internet or for homes and YouTube videos and so on and as I said I used it every day almost every day since I caught it I started the fire twice when I made the cooking video mostly linked to up here so most often when I fail to light a fire it is due to lack of preparation didn't used to the last 30 seconds or 1 minute to get the right amount of sawdust or I didn't scrape the the first part properly and then it doesn't light up right so you can say working with such a little Ferro rod here of course the preparation is become even more important however I broke mine I'll show you another close up here but you can see there's still a lot left so here we have the Firefly or the broke of this little piece here yeah my hands are completely toilet because there's a big battle to start the fire anyway you can see we have a lot of farad left and even that should only be like 1/2 centimeters lifts it will still be usable as it will still sit in in the little in the little slots here what happened with the little Ferro rod here is of course that I start to dig out out in the end I start to dig it out so to speak so it was thinning them in this part here then it was fat again you know what I mean it was their rods it can be a little bit problematic sometimes so technique I have developed is to put the finger on the little Ferro rod here hold out here on the on the saw blades we'll be using a striker well you can see it's it's not a weak Ferro rod you can try with the birch part here again

but since the Ferro rod is so small and this shower of sparks of course not as big as if you're using a king-size Ferro rod then it's of course very important to to prepare the target and the target is of course our fluffed of birch bark or the sawdust there I use the saw tool to fabricate the sawdust with of course and this sawdust have actually been laying on this table here for a good 45 minutes or something like this so it has most likely absorbed a lot of of moisture and it was nice to begin with because it's very humid in the forest is not soft it's humid let's see we can get this little guy here going I use the tip of the of the sawhorse it because it's more controllable

I'm up it goes and flame awesome so they has of course nothing wrong with these little fireflies they're super awesome I mean they'll be really really handy also in - slowly we're standing in the forest of I'm standing in the forest or whatever and this is what I have then I I will be really heavy that I should not go through the process of making a boat will it takes a long time and that is Exedy not really great with cold hands well it can't be done I've shown that many times so basically this video here is just to fill you in on what I have learned about the little Firefly here because if you have borders and you are you a subscriber both maybe then I'm most likely responsible for you buying this so uh yeah now you know a little bit more about how to use it it's of course not everyday use but but there it can be used now London and they can certainly be used in their survival situation so guys please check the links in the description Scioscia subscribes the parents of like and considers to support the channel that is really really awesome and yeah get all trinket done do something awesome see you in the next video guys you
