hello everybody and welcome to survival Russia you guys are really really awesome

today's occasion is actually one of my old old homestead campsites hosted is right up there like 150 meters or something not far but I used to do a lot of cold weather testing and so on here because we have a very strong wind today and so on I think ok let's clean up the old side a little bit then the mega fire and say hello to the guys show you the knife and so on well here you have the knife it's actually not even a knife it's a blade there's no handle on it maybe you can give me some input on the handle later let's see this knife here is from the far north eastern corner Russia called Yakutia and they don't have a lot of metal up there ladies not awesomely sick and on this side here this was makes it interesting it has this very deep groove and this is actually made by the blacksmith there because I don't have a lot of metal right so what they do is that they they hammer out the center here to stretch the metal out to get as life is possible with as little metal possible so it's completely flat on one side then it has like a lens shape on the other side here these knives ER they are pretty sharp all of us flow around the phrase razor sharp but this comes pretty close to razor sharp actually I have a little part of a Russian text form here that is really flimsy paper so they're good for for the for the famous paper test right they cut through the pretty sharp but they have caused delicate knives but these are used by the natives up there and up there it gets really cold last winter I had a friend who wrote me from up there and said there was - 73 C I don't know what it is in Fahrenheit but it's cold it ain't cold
