so I know everybody is welcome to survival Raja today is a day where I'm gonna attempt to make the plus Palatka raft

I'm Vincent looking so much forward to that and I know few of you have also been looking forward to it and I'm sure it's gonna be fun but for the ones of you who do not know what applies Palatka is and I will not hold that against you at all it's a six by six or 180 by 180 centimeter canvas top can use as a use as a poncho and all sorts of things that's why we're here because you're also supposed to be able to make a raft of it this gonna be the small variant with two plus four latkes I also seen a larger one and the story behind all this plus Palatka rafting stuff is I saw an old manual army manual for the Recon Scouts

that's Vika they're called in Russian in this manual there were some illustrations of some recon Scouts Spetsnaz guys sitting on a riverbank with all City environment in the back but they were sitting and stuffing their plaster latkes with the dry grasses from that they will be able to make a raft and yeah there's also a bigger version for six or eight guys and I will attempt that at some point let's see if I have the time and I also have to get some more plaster latkes for their obviously but yeah stay tuned let's get on with it you're gonna head over there and get some hay

as you can see here this is how I teach it together on the top hug along with that and the rest of these things with hay and let's get on with it and it's gonna be awesome this one so here we have them two big sausages full of grass and take a peek inside here full of grass well you have you have what's gonna become the frame took a while to fill these guys here that's a lot of Grassley huh see is a float on this is a sinker that's the question well here we are the big river it's actually not big and this exit another river but it's a water body and we can test it out here two big grass sausages I'll just have to a chance to attach a frame fast and this time to the maiden voyage and the yeah it's quite a work for long guy also a lot of college involved but since it's an army or military project we have the big military machine in our backs so that doesn't matter a little bit worried about this seam here goes down here where I try to raise it as high as possible it's only one thing to do get it done and let's see how it goes another little thing I can put into the excuse box here if it goes wrong this of course that I have no instructions for this only one illustration of two space nuts guys filling these here and the sketch of the frame which says 120 centimeters by 80 centimeters that's all no tips and tricks or nothing I just hope it works that's my guests my brother-in-law and so on from the big cities oh and they come out here they like to do all sorts of stuff so they can feel really country that's pretty awesome and also I have the frame here I just have to tie them to the frame Jesus tauntauns here then let's go go go so arrived it done I have an idea why don't we just jump into it straightaway and test this goddamn thing here that was a long fight Ken wasn't grass raft so far so good whoa almost personalized three cards go jørgen see we're stranded on this island

and I've chopped down all the wood for fire and the last few perches on my holy island here I use for this raft see if we can make it over there just for fun that was pretty awesome I just face-planted straight into the water if I had a paddle it would be awesome final word I'm saying I want to go back to my little island

it's actually works to fry something we're not a big question of causes how many leeches do I have on my body and so on after this trip taken all around because I feel really bad smiles today

in here I actually almost drowned once making another video on ER on a water crossing as well training and practice in this raft here because you know if you don't do that stuff ten kilometres into the forest I'm pretty happy with the result I'll say up until now I could definitely a transport with a few guys plus equipment back and forth on a 20 30 50 meter or even 100 meter wide river we just need some paddles for that so it took the frame off for the suspicious ones of you all of course show there's only grass inside of these also be interested to see the condition of the grass and plat flask us on the inside that's it
